  1. Did you see when Gomez drew his walk the night before and he looked into the dugout on his way to first base and held up 1 finger as if to say......"thats one coach"? lol It was pretty funny.
  2. I actually was at that 92 Bluejays game. 2 buddies and I made the drive up to Toronto for the weekend. What a game it was......we met Jaha in bar that night as well. Very nice guy. "That '92 Blue Jays game is definitely in my Top 10 Brewers games ever. I remember that the Jays had just completed the deal for Cone. It was a Friday night, and I was driving around aimlessly just to listen to the carnage on the radio. The next day they went out on the Game of the Week and knocked Cone around."
  3. Also Kyles(sp) and Bosio not returning per Anderson. I would guess that Castro can have the bullpen job again if he wants it.
  4. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/jon_heyman/09/23/brewers.future/index.html?section=si_latest
  5. Wouldn't it be more exciting if some good pitchers were excited about coming here? I mean how depressing is it to watch teams take batting practice againt us game after game?
  6. If hitters walking alot is just some random event that has more to do with the pitcher then the hitter why do guys like Barry Bonds and Pujols get the most walks year in and year out? Bad hitters rarely walk alot. They swing at bad pitches, get themselves out, or miss very hittable pitches on a regular basis. Now if a pitcher just can't throw strikes and walks everybody thats a different story but for the most part the best and most dangerous hitters walk the most. Some good hitters don't walk alot but usually that is what's keeping them from being great hitters.
  7. This is a triple A team that is just hammering him. Wow is he bad..........
  8. I wonder how Soup would do in the little league world series? Could he keep his ERA under 5?
  9. This Brewer staff can make any team look like the 1927 Yankees...................
  10. We are getting blown out by teams that have given up on the season....lol Where are all the "experts" who said our pitching would be ok this year?
  11. Another day another 2 HR's given up by one of our starters............its almost laughable.....
  12. 1 front line starter isn't going to do it. In order to contend we would need at least 2 much improved starters and a few more arms in the bullpen as well. Gallardo, Parra, Bush, Stetter and Coffey are all good or ok. Trevor I'm sure will be gone so he will have to be replaced. Suppan has to be back unless MA wants to eat another 12 million. Not a pretty picture.......
  13. Another day another 9 runs and 16 hits given up to a bad team..........our pitching staff has been very consistent since the all star break........
  14. Tom Seaver did a pretty good impression of a hard throwing right hander for a lefty.........................
  15. That in a nutshell is why Lopez has been with a hundred teams in 5 years. Nice effort........wow.
  16. We have won one series since June........1 series! Every team in baseball is mathmatically still in it but we for all practical purposes this team is done.
  17. We owe Hall for the remainder of this years contract, 8.4 million next year and a 500k buyout for the following year. Even if they work out a trade the Brewers will likely be on the hook for most of that money. Mark A just eat over 9 million dollars on Billy Hall.........wow have times changed at Miller Park.
  18. Klements Brats pretty much nailed it.
  19. I'm not worried....the easy part of the schedule is coming up soon. I mean we can't expect to hold down this stacked Padre lineup.
  20. Has a team with a pitching staff that was 15th in ERA and last in HRS allowed and OPS against ever made the playoffs? If so then we are still in it........... We are a .500 team in name only. We have been outscored by 30 runs. Only Florida has been as lucky.
  21. MLB Rumors is reporting that Washburn has been traded to the Tigers.
  22. This team is just a joke right now. Wow are we bad...................
  23. TV ratings are usually calculated by share. The higher percentage of homes watching the higher the rating. Bigger market teams can have much lower ratings and still derive much more revenue from TV and radio then a team like the Brewers because they still dwarf us in the total number of homes/people watching. Its like the difference between buying advertising in the Milwaukee Journal and the LA times. Doesn't matter if a higher perentage of Milwaukee people actually buy the Journal Sentinel.....the LA times still reaches a larger audience and therefore brings in more Ad revenue.
  24. Geirut drops a ball that most of us could have caught and BS says..."Wow nothing is going right for the Brewers"? Its not like it was a bad break Bill....come on call it like it is.....this team is playing horribly and has been playing that way for a long time.
  25. We just gave up 5 home runs to the Pittsburgh Pirates...........wow.
