  1. I did not know "spec" was used as shorthand for prospect. Very modern.
  2. I don't believe so. 2:59 pm CDT on Monday effectively. I am about as confident as can be that he will waive it, and well before the deadline on Monday. Don't think Milwaukee pulls the trigger on this without being very sure that Lucroy will agree to go.
  3. Aiken has had TJ surgery, McKenzie has not. That's the big thing for me. McKenzie is also probably more get-able given how far off he is from contributing in the bigs. Still needs to fill out and add velocity, while Aiken is closer to physically mature. So there's more non-injury risk in McKenzie, but the TJ thing trumps that. At least to me. I'd certainly take either one.
  4. Rosenthal hasn't recanted the 4th player tweet, and McCalvy and Haudricourt both reported it. That leads me to believe there is, but I also wouldn't be shocked if there weren't. I will hold onto any thread of hope that McKenzie is coming over that I can find.
  5. Really hoping the 4th guy is: http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=milb&player_id=643419#/career/R/hitting/2016/ALL Top 10 all-time baseball name.
  6. If there is indeed a fourth player, I'm going to hope that Allen is the "lesser" prospect that Rosenthal was referring to.
  7. I'm going to cut you off right there.
  8. If they trade for Norris just to keep him away from the Mets, bully for you Stearns.
  9. I think you're being way too optimistic here. Chang is strikingly similar to Isan Diaz, who is regarded as being on the cusp of the top 100. May not have quite the hit tool, but he is more than holding his own as a 20 year old in advanced A ball. Allen might be more of a stretch as a top 100 type, but if he keeps up his OBP next year and gets to AAA in the process, he's not that far off.
  10. I am neither overwhelmed nor underwhelmed by the deal at the moment. Just kind of whelmed. Quite surprised a pitcher like McKenzie or even Hillman isn't coming back. On the other hand, they got 3 offensive talents who all could be top 100 type guys within the next year (and one of whom is already). Going off of the MLB.com list, my hot take his that I'd slot Mejia at 6, Chang at 17, and Allen at 20. http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2016?list=mil Also, it looks like Jorge Lopez is pregnant.
  11. You said that Milwaukee and Cleveland had a deal, which was likely to have been the case anyway. You declined to name any of the players going back. That's not really breaking anything. I declined because I had sarcastic quotes. That's all well and good, but my point remains the same. You had the common knowledge side of a likely trade right.
  12. He has a pretty great beard. There's that.

  14. Ok then, who is the fourth player?
  15. Looks like Greg Allen is the OFer.
  16. As it seems it is very likely he will approve the deal, going to close this thread before it needs to be split again - discuss in the MLB forum.
  17. "So do you want to move to Cleveland for a year and a half?" "Well I don't know, Drew Carey says it rocks but that was a few years ago."
  18. 5'3" Jose Gomez just hit a HR for the Baby Brewers. He had an ISO of .011 going into the game. The Baby Brewers also tagged Brady Aiken pretty good, 5 runs in 2/3 of an inning. Gabe Garcia (at first base today) with yet another XBH. Edit: Make that 2 XBH for Garcia, a double and a long ball. Only 8 of his 20 hits on the season have been singles.
  19. Did Brock Lesner arrive?? And if he did and is delivering that many F5s, just who ticked him off???? #Refreshcity Legitimate LOL. I just spit out my Korean noodles.
  20. I deleted a few posts, including one from MrTPlush, that were definitely disrespectful.
  21. Guys, let's lay off HighHeat19. He may well know something. Or he may not. If Lucroy ends up going somewhere other than Cleveland, I'm sure he'll hear about it later. I personally hope he does know something we don't.
