  1. Hake had only 15 AB's with Beloit in 2001, and I'm unsure of the circumstances of his departure at that time. Hake retired after his first few games with Beloit in '01. Don't know or remember why. Evidently the Brewers didn't think enough of him to keep him on the reserve/retired roster after the season, so he was released. Must have re-thunk his decision, though it retrospect it probably wasn't a good one.
  2. Brewers win 6-5 on a game-winning hit from Ryan Crew in the bottom of the 8th. Baby Brewers do it again. Turnbow with the save.
  3. I corrected Darron's pronounciation of Callaspo's last name. Yay me.
  4. Can anyone give me a recap of the BF love? I asked him a question about Ned Yost IV catching, but prefaced my statement saying I was from here, and Darron said it was a fun, informative site before answering my question. I just caught part of it, so maybe someone else has a better interpretation.
  5. We all knew what you meant, but I just couldn't resist. Yah, I probably would have corrected myself if it wasn't me.
  6. It's not just you. I haven't seen any time at 3B yet either. Probably best since I can't really play. Touche. Hey, man, I'm tryin to do a PBP and type off air-worthy emails to Sutton. And I have to use the bathroom.
  7. Has Hart not seen any time at third base in a game yet, or is that just me?

  9. And if I remember correctly, when Sheets was on the DL we had a winning record. That could well be true, but the arbitrariness of his DL days makes that statistic sorta irrelevant to me, unless you want to argue that Sheets not being in the clubhouse helped the Brewers win. During his 22 starts, the Brewers were 12-10.
  10. FWIW, the Brewers were 12-10 last year when Sheets started, so the team went 69-71 without him. Is it unreasonable to think that the Brewers could win 85ish games without Sheeter? Not necessarily, though they'd have to be pretty lucky with the rest of the team. Losing Sheets would not mean the whole team was sunk, and no one's even said we've lost Sheets yet. Time for a chill pill.
  11. The VSL and DSL are more or less on par with the Arizona Rookie League, maybe a half step below it. Very few players over 20, mostly 16-19.
  12. What happened? While Mr. Livngstone was doing his business (the #2, if you will) in the team's bathroom, he had to (as Sutton put it) "do some housekeeping" before flushing. During this "housekeeping" Livingstone somehow twisted the wrong way and tweaked his neck. So he missed his start because of an overextended wipe. The bathroom is a dangerous place.
  13. Did anyone catch the scoop on the Bobby Livingstone "injury"? Unfortunately for Bobby Livingstone, yes. At least Jeff Liefer only got himself locked in the bathroom.
  14. Hey nice little comeback again for the Baby Brewers, even if they fell a run short this time. Kids seem to be putting forth serious effort this spring.
  15. Yay for Brent Abernathy! 2 run single.
  16. OK. I'm back after an extended weekend vacation to Chattanooga TN and will try/hope to do a running box score for this game...just like I did for several of the ST games last year. I'll be around listening to the game, too. So if you need a break at any point (cuz I know it is tough work), just let me know. If I'm here.
  17. Kolb threw about 8 pitches in his inning of work.

  19. He has that Capuano pitching motion down already. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Congrats again, Patrick. God bless you and your new family.
  20. In the top of the ninth, Steve Moss and John Alonso got out, Ken Holmberg hit a line-drive single, Callix Crabbe doubled (Rex Hudler was in wonderment over his name) Holmberg to third, but Fermaint struck out to end it. Angels win, 12-1.
  21. Robert Hinton in to pitch the bottom of the 8th against the Angels. Unless Evert got in earlier, looks like he might not get in. As I type that, Hinton gave up a jack.
  22. I tuned in around the 5th inning. Can't say what happened before I turned it on. Miller retired the Angels 1-2-3.
  23. It's still 11-1, now in the top of the 7th. I think Hammond pitched last inning.
