  1. That four-spot in the 3rd feels just a little light with the gift runs. But that is a 2025 Brewers type inning with the walks and putting the ball in play leading to runs.
  2. Not the prototypical sacrifice fly for Chourio, but the error is a nice bonus.
  3. Need to cash in with bases loaded, none out, and the top of the order up. Didn't get many big hits during the sweep in Texas.
  4. If the Mets could come through with a win tonight or tomorrow (or both), this sweep may be more a slight bump in the road toward securing the top record. Other than possibly the Toronto series, it hasn't been great baseball recently when playing against teams around the .500 mark or in the playoff chase (CHC, SF, AZ, PHI, TEX). Don't need to get on an absolute heater going into the playoffs, but not limping into the playoffs would also be good. Hope the home series this weekend will start a syncing process rather than create a sinking feeling.
  5. Rhys swinging 3-0 to drive in a run while pinch-hitting for Ortiz. Guess you can let the veteran swing there.
  6. Probably showed that with the first Texas batter in the 4th after not getting a hit with the bases loaded. Just wish it wasn't Ortiz so frequently at bat when needing a hit to score runs.
  7. Well, we got the "Peralta Falter Inning" in the 3rd. Managed to limit the damage to two runs. Plenty of time left in the game.
  8. Needed some better batted ball luck. Some very hard hit outs throughout the game. Looked like it should have been enough to get a win with a Patrick spot start. Avoid the sweep tomorrow and hope the Mets show up in at least one of their remaining two games with the Phillies this week.
  9. Got two with the Chourio home run. Chance still for a big inning with two on and one out. Maybe we finally get a Danny Jansen moment.
  10. Fedde nearly got through it. Reynolds’ at bat was the tough hitter who wouldn’t be put away. Now Rob Z for Cruz is the matchup play.
  11. PNC Park on September 6 (Game 2). Good number of Brewers fans in the stands.
  12. If the math is correct, they are 8-11 since the game that ended the winning streak on August 17. It’s not disastrously bad, but it’s not a good trend.
  13. Seems like there was reporting that the team wants Gasser to get used to making bullpen appearances at AAA. Probably take a couple weeks to shift from the regular schedule of starting to having some non-regular intervals between shorter appearances. But talent-wise, Gasser probably is better than Payamps.
  14. Good game for Vaughn today. Need to get that bat to heat up a little bit for the stretch run.
  15. Big strikeouts for Freddy when they were needed in the 4th. Unfortunately, looks like it will be a shorter start for him at that rate of pitches.
  16. That win also secures the season series against Philadelphia and the tiebreaker with them.
  17. Felt like the team just hung on in a three-run win. These appetizers of playoff baseball games during the last couple weeks show how stressful they can be for the fans. Don’t know what the players feel.
