  1. College player with a few years in the minors before hitting the bigs. Short stature, left-handed hitting outfielder who could stick in CF but not be a top-of-league defender at that position. Seems like he might be a comp to Brett Butler.
  2. Early days, obviously, so a bit hazardous to draw full conclusions. But it’s a bit unfortunate that the Anderson contract didn’t include a team options for a second year. (Unless I missed something.) Seems like that might have been one of those buy-low possibilities this past winter.
  3. That would be a nice development. I would imagine that the planned team would be an expansion franchise into the USL Championship, the level below Major League Soccer in our American soccer pseudo-pyramid. That level is in process of expansion, adding a team in Des Moines, IA in 2024. You can see the list of current USL Championship teams in the following link, which are hosted by cities of similar size to Milwaukee: https://www.uslchampionship.com/league-teams A couple other online articles suggest the same: https://urbanmilwaukee.com/2022/05/20/eyes-on-milwaukee-soccer-stadium-concert-venue-planned-for-downtown/ https://soccerstadiumdigest.com/2022/05/new-milwaukee-soccer-stadium-pitched-as-part-of-entertainment-complex/
  4. Samori Toure with the last Packers pick. Saw that name mentioned a good bit.
  5. 2nd Round run in WRs continues. Skyy Moore to KC. They’ll find a way to use his skills.
  6. Alec Pierce at #53. Would’ve liked him as a WR addition.
  7. Here’s some of the on-field things that Wyatt can do. (Similar write up to what Julio Muchado linked to above on Walker.) https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/lists/devonte-wyatt-jordan-davis-georgia-defense-2022-nfl-draft/
  8. Hope Wyatt’s off field issues can be curbed. Some major red flags out there. https://walterfootball.com/nflhotpress/article/Teams-Dropping-Wyatt-From-Boards-Over-Repeated-Domestic-Violence
  9. COVID also eliminates Michigan from the tournament. News just breaking.
  10. Finished Tehran on Apple TV+. Pretty good modern spy thriller; the Israel vs Iran dynamic was a different take from the shows/movies set in the Cold War era or the modern war on terror.
  11. Really good choice, Reilly. I didn’t know how well a prequel to “Morse” would work, but “Endeavour” has been outstanding. Can’t miss watch on my TV schedule whenever the new episodes appear each summer on PBS. Might go back and watch the past episodes on Amazon Prime. Another series that I’ve enjoyed in the modern British mystery genre is “Unforgotten.” Some of the past series are on Amazon Prime also.
  12. Must be the “new normal”: Spielberg summer blockbusters in a repeat form.
  13. Finally saw it this past weekend. Fully agree with you, Reilly. I really enjoyed the movie. It's a bit of a modern twist and a partial sendup of the classic whodunits. I've seen references to a potential followup/sequel. I'll be curious to see how well that might go.
  14. One deadline at August 15 would’ve been a better choice.
  15. It is, I've seen all the seasons. Really good supporting actors, and just a nice pace/ vibe going on.... Great to see some other Bosch fans on here. It's definitely must watch for me each time the new season is produced on Amazon Prime. Good story line and pacing, plus seeing some faces from The Wire is nice to see. Another season is in the works already, so something to look forward to in Spring 2020.
