Great capper touchdown drive. Good number of backups performed well tonight. Really like the rushing offense functioning so well, coupled with the passing game. Need to get that all in sync for a playoff run.
He drilled that. Good to have an opportunity to check his range in the cold without a game on the line. Unfortunately that might not needed with road playoff games.
Likely checking if Watson had stepped out-of-bounds over the end line and was no longer an eligible receiver. Saw the referee touching the earpiece like he was talking to the replay official.
@Matthew TruebloodThe last paragraph of the article is excellent:
It speaks very well of the Brewers' major progress in their prospect development system over the past decade or so. The fact that it's becoming both expected and experienced that the organization drafts/international signs and develops quality MLB players bodes well for the longterm future.
Seems like having Ross use basically a two-pitch arsenal and go all out for an inning or two has been getting good results. Could be a vital piece in a playoff series where it isn't uncommon for starters to be lifted in the 4th or 5th innings.
Left-hander making his first career MLB start versus the Brewers.....no good vibes about that prior to the game. Hope to feel much differently afterwards.
