Can’t really start a game much better in the NFL. (Maybe getting another first down just short of the goal line and running a little more clock.) Ball control at near perfection to open the game.
Between Bryan Hudson (6'8") and Clayton Andrews (5'6"), the Brewers will have quite a wide spectrum of height for their potential lefty bullpen candidates.
Some of the season-long faults of the team showed up in the second half. Couldn’t convert first-and-goal from the 1. Gave up a 98 yard touchdown drive with little resistance. Offensive line got run over on the final drive. Fickell will need to show some improvement in next season’s squad. Don’t doubt that it can be shown.
Special teams really needs to be critically examined in the off-season as much as the defense. Wouldn’t mind seeing both Barry and Bisaccia sent packing.
Thought that trying another mob QB sneak attempt could have picked up the first down. Still had a great play called on 4th down, but couldn’t execute it.
Action-packed last five minutes, though no points were scored. Can’t feel badly about being up 17 at halftime. But feels like just a little momentum got lost by being unable to tack on at least one more score.
