  1. Only giving up the solo homer to Machado isn’t terrible from Gio. But Frese and Bellinger both hit a couple long outs. Will be interesting to see how long Gio goes. An answer back run or two would help enliven the crowd again.
  2. Didn’t cash in the 0-out RISP situation. Might not get too many of those versus the Dodgers starters. Worked a few deep count ABs, but the batters need to do a bit better.
  3. As could be imagined about a Brewers fan in his early 40s, I’ll be happy for the team just to be in the World Series regardless of opponent. That said, I would lean towards wanting to play Boston. Houston seems to be more complete than Boston right now. The Red Sox appear to have some bullpen issues. Having the ability for the Brewers’ power bullpen arms face off against hitters in game temperatures in the 30s-40s also has some appeal. Try hitting off of Woodruff, Burnes, Knebel, Hader, and Jeffress in that situation.
  4. Kratz looks like the type of guy who would swear by saying "Oh Gosh" so I bet they wanted someone they wouldn't have to bleep. Kratz is a Mennonite from out here in PA. Might be on to something.
  5. Excellent start from Miley. Did the job asked of him, even if he didn’t quite get through 5 IP. I hope Counsell has the bullpen lineup figured out to close out the game. Getting a few insurance runs would be most helpful.
  6. Plenty of drama and thoughts about choking away wins. But two home games have equaled two wins. Keep it going in Colorado!
  7. Got one in. Really want at least one more. Another K in these RISP situations already this inning from Perez. Shaw needs to do better.
  8. Great opposite field approach by Braun. 1st and 3rd again with no out. Must capitalize.
  9. Brewers are running in traffic with scissors on fire right now versus this Rockies offense. And still they somehow lead 1-0, going into the Bottom 8th. Almost have to get some runs this inning. Can’t seem to think that Colorado will be shutout.
  10. 3 Ks with 1st and 3rd with no out. May very well have pissed away the game there.
  11. Huge swing to escape the runner on third, no out situation. Make the momentum shift stick with some insurance runs!
  12. The pitching staff is walking a tightrope with no net again this game. Offense needs to show up soon.
  13. Making outs on the base paths is just aggravating to see, no matter how they happen.
  14. Make it 4 scoreless IP for Chacin. Time to pick him up with some run support.
  15. Too much typical Brewers offense with runners on. Really need to convert here.
