  1. Great play by Broxton in center. Another single run for Chicago. Getting at least one back this inning would make the game a bit more comfortable again.
  2. Not a great inning from Davies. But loading the bases with no outs and escaping with giving up one run feels a little like that State Farm commercial with the fishing pole: "I got you a dollar. You almost had it."
  3. Need some better two strike pitches from Davies to finish off batters. Don't let the Cubs back in the game.
  4. Davies with a BB RBI. Gotta love helping one's own cause that way.
  5. Brewers offense threw an early haymaker at Montgomery. Doesn't get out of the third inning.
  6. Is Thames heating up? Would be a nice boost to get him back hammering the ball.
  7. Rays' closer nearly threw away the game against the Cubs, but they held on to win.
  8. Villar sitting on an 0-for-3 in the third inning. Might not be his day.
  9. Crooked numbers in Innings 1 & 2. Suter has to enjoy that type of run support.
  10. Arcia hitting like that in the #8 spot. He's seems to be turning into an offensive weapon, which is a huge complement to his defense.
  11. Definitely. Davies had a couple "Where did that miss?" pitches with two strikes, then subsequently gave up hits on pitcher's pitches instead of getting the called third strike for the out. Turned this inning around for the Marlins.
  12. Broxton with the double K in a 7-run inning. Guess someone has to draw the short straw. Davies needs to follow that up with an easy scoreless inning.
  13. Just plain like having Shaw up in crucial RBI situations. He's been good so far this season.
  14. Santana with the home run, assisted by Stanton. After seeing the home runs and extra base hits being robbed, nice to see that go the Brewers' way.
  15. Take the wins any way that you can get them. Big to start the series at home with a W.
  16. Save that film of the outfield relay for the out at home. Just about perfectly executed from Perez getting to the gap behind Broxton, hitting Arcia with the throw, and having Arcia put it right on the money to Vogt.
  17. Vogt gets his first Brewers home run. Looked like he had a chance to be robbed again.
  18. 2 vs. MIA (1-1) 3 vs. BAL (2-1) 1 @ CHC (1-0) 3 @ NYY (1-2) 3 vs. PHI (2-1) 4 @ PIT (1-3) 3 @ PHI (2-1) 3 @ WAS (0-3) 3 vs. CHC (2-1) 12-13 for July. The road trips to Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Washington will be the make-or-break part of the month. I've got them going 3-7 during that period. Gain a split against the Pirates, sweep the Phillies, and pick up an unexpected win over the Nationals, and the month could be 14-11.
