  1. If I lived in Mexico, I would make every effort to learn Spanish and if I couldn't figure it out I would move. If I didn't have enough time to type the word "you" and needed to replace it with "u" I would not post on message boards http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  2. over/under for total amount of hours spent tomorrow on coverage and debate on ESPN of Bonds HR derby interview: 4.5 I will take the under
  3. Once the lead was lost he figures well we might as well get through this inning without burning the pen. It's prety tough to burn the bullpen when you don't play for 5 days.
  4. The best thing about baseball in my opinion is the long 6 month 162 game season where you get to watch and listen to your favorite team 6-7 days a week. Over the course of 6 months you are going to have some highs and lows....it is part of the game. I can be dissapointed that we lost 2 out of 3 in Washington but I can also be happy we took 2 out of 3 in Detroit (especially after seeing the mighty Boston Red Sox get swept there this weekend) Thank you Brewers for the great first half you have put up. 49 wins 4 all stars The best home record in the National League Prince leading the NL in home runs Getting to watch Prince, Rickie, JJ and Ryan in the infield at the same time Experiencing a pennant race in the second half of the season for the first time I can actually remember I can't wait for Friday night when the Crew takes the field at MIller Park to start the second half.....Let the playoff chase begin!
  5. Personally being a Brewer fan for 29 years, I am estatic that our very own Milwaukee Brewers have a 4.5 game lead heading into the all star break. Sometimes I never thought I would see that day.
  6. Couldn't agree more mikerollns. Just another example of how Ned just doesn't get it. But, all in all I will take a 4 1/2 game leading heading into the all star break. The second half will be fun.
  7. Actually you have to buy two terrace reserve tickets and two State Fair tickets for $24.
  8. Braminano, do you know Mark Antoniak?
  9. I love that website...I guess I am a little optomistic but still it just puts things in perspective. Things are ok. I do think it is important however to win this series against Washington....which we will.
  10. That's a start....some interesting names on there. Thanks
  11. The longest streaks I remember are Luis Castillo and Jerome Walton.....I think those are both in the 30's.
  12. I thought I heard Hart had the 4th or 5th longest in team history....so assuming 28 other teams prior to expansion have around 4 guys that have streaks that long, that is where I came up with 150. Hopefully someone can come trhough to see how offi I am.
  13. I am just trying to guess how many players of the history of the game have had at least a 20 game hitting streak.....150 would be my guess.
  14. Can anyone help me find a list of the longest hitting streaks in MLB. I looked on baseballreference.com but couldn't find it. Thanks
  15. From what I heard he is day to day and they will probably wait unitl the all star break to evaluate him.
  16. For the first time since I can actually remember the Brewers will be in first place heading into the all star game.
  17. Just curious to see what everyone thinks of our chances to make the playoffs after losing 3 out of 4 in Pittsburg. I am giving us an 85% chance to win the divisoin and a 90% chance to atleast make the wild card. I still think the wild card can come out of the Central if the Cubs get super hot....the West is going to beat each other up over the second half of the season. However, I don't think the Cubs will ever get more than 5 or 6 games over .500.
  18. ESPN has made sports what they are today.....I remember being a kid and seeing the ticker pop up once every hour if lucky...now whenever I need a score there it is. I hate almost every personality on that station but at the same time they are still talking about sports so I will watch it.
  19. As long as thousands and thousands of people are voting....can you really blame them?
  20. Looks like I don't have to panic quite yet...the lead will still be over 5 games after today.
  21. If we are going to rip ESPN for not giving proper due to our Brewers we should praise them when they do. Cory Hart had the #1 Webgem last night reaching into the stands in foul territory to make a nice catch (in my mind not worthy though of the #1 gem of the day)
  22. Orv's is the most underrated frozen pizza out there in my opinion. Can't beat 5 for $10....although you can't find that special on a consistent basis anymore.
  23. I guess what I was trying to get at was that no one is mentioning that Boston is winning the AL East by such a wide margin because the rest of the league is under .500 and somebody has to win the division......the way they were talking about the Brewers earlier in June. I think the AL East is definately better than the NL Central....I just got a little frustrated that the media isn't even mentioning how poor the record's are of the teams in the mighty AL East.
  24. 1. Sheets 2. Gallardo 3. Cordero 4. Villy 5. Wise 6. Capuano 7. Turnbow 8. Bush 9. Vargas 10. Suppan. 11. Spurling 12. Shouse
  25. I completely agree.....It would be nice to atleast match the Cubs over the next 7 days. I still don't feel like the lead will ever drop below 5 games but if it does....I will start to worry but at the same time enjoy the last 3 months of baseball.
