  1. i want to know how obsessed the guy who won january has to be. he picked 114 games in january. that is 3.5 games per day. crazy! my longest streak i think is 3
  2. the same could be said for the brewers retiring hank aaron's number. he only played 2 seasons for the brewers
  3. pencil and paper here. pretty easy though...nothing tricky outside of mortgage stuff
  4. just did a google and this site claims a feb 24 opening for the miller park way sonic http://www.metromilwaukee...nic-driveins-opening.html
  5. they can only change the rules when a unilateral decision is made by the commissioner in the middle of the world series! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  6. bingo. for instance, we received $1500 (me, wife, kid #1), and had kid #2 in august. this qualified us for another $300 for kid #2.
  7. FYI...there is a 'now hiring' sign outside the sonic on miller park way.
  8. if it wasnt an 8:00 start i would be all over these. something about getting home around midnight that isnt inviting.
  9. FYI...the ad in the JS this morning says they are now only offering SRO tickets for the opener...or a 10th game of your choice.
  10. since the brewers are only allowing us to get 2 extras with opening day (instead of 4 as in the past), i am in need of 2 additional tickets for opening day. if you are not planning on ordering extra tickets, i would be willing to buy them from you. please contact me at temke@yahoo.com or PM. thanks!
  11. And season ticket holders are limited to two "extra" tickets each for the home opener.which is funny because the letter said 4, but the order form said 2. with that said, if anyone with season tickets isnt going to order their 2 extras, get in touch with me. i would be willing to buy them for you
  12. there are always plenty available on the street if you are willing to not have tickets in hand.
  13. there is a thread about opening day tickets on the major league board, but i am too lazy to find it. i also heard yesterday that the 9-packs are nearly sold out.
  14. from time to time they announce the number of walk-up tickets they sold for a game...generally when there is a very large walk-up. i remember them saying they sold something like 12,000 tickets in the couple days before sabathia's first start.
  15. you counted wins? it was much more fun to count losses IMO. i still remember being in attendance for the brewers 100th loss in 02.
  16. yes...that is what they claimed at the end of last season. if it is available, i am a strong supporter of AT&T. i got it in october and it is pretty solid. dont have to worry about signals and the prices are reasonable. i am saving about $30 a month over time warner and got nearly $400 ($350 in cash) in sign-up incentives. i also think they are offering a cheap rate (like $30 a month for cable) for the first 12 months for new subscribers. as for the brewers, they show FSN wisconsin as well as an alternate channel when there are two sporting events on.
  17. they have been able to sit on a majority of my season ticket money since september when playoff deposits were due. i think it was a pretty decent move that they didnt collect WS ticket money even though the playoff ticket information stated they would charge CC's as long as the brewers made the playoffs.
  18. It's not a new pattern for Bo; he did the same thing with Jason Chappel a few years ago. I'd be curious to know the rationale behind it as well.dave mader also. bo apparently has a thing about not switching his starting line-up
  19. this is 100% correct. trevon hughes was frustrating to watch. he got burned on the last 3-pointer in regulation. he has no business going outside the 3-point line to challenge that shot. let the guy take a 25 footer. instead he got a wide open look and buried it. not sure how im going to sleep tonight...ugly
  20. this was my first thought when i looked at the list also. add to it all the work he has done with the club after his playing days and he should be a no-brainer.
  21. i have heard that season ticket holders will only be offered 2 extras to opening day, but i cant confirm that. if that is the case, i will need 2 extras for opening day! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  22. im a clark howard guy myself. 2-3pm on 620. he is also apparently all over headline news these days also. http://www.clarkhoward.com the man is pretty much a dork, but has some decent thoughts about personal finance
  23. i figured it was a matter of time before this happened. i have ordered group tickets for the opener since '02 and it got harder and harder every year to score tickets. at least they are letting people know well ahead of time this year. it gives my friends time to score their own tickets.
  24. this is my thought also. i remember always getting offered both...even in my 5th year at madison.
  25. But it means more if you go to Chalmers. (At least it means more to the Chalmers family.) Congratulations, JMF.funny thread-jack. the wife and i were in madison for the basketball game right before christmas. when driving home, we heard the chalmers radio commercial. without looking at each other, we sang the "in middleton" part of the jingle at the end, not having heard a chalmers commercial since we left college 6 years ago. some businesses just never need to change their jingles
