  1. Maybe he'll relieve Game 7 and we walk it off on him!
  2. Throw in that both losses occurred today, within 18 hours of each other. If we won both, we'd be WS bound.
  3. MVP! Can’t wait to see him hoist the trophy. Agree on the worth of Kratz (not MVP yet).... Kratz also got JJ strike 3 to end the game. He has very quick hands in bringing the ball naturally back in the zone. Underrated in getting pitchers off the edge strikes.
  4. Come on, man. Not cool. Too harsh of a comment, sure. Yet, pitching Jeffress late without a net of Hader or Knebel is very questionable now. He needs to pitch a 6th inning for us or come in for a third of an inning.....
  5. 43,600+ and 43,900+ for the two NLCS games-We is had 45,500 + for the last Sat. game of the year vs. Detroit....
  6. How are there not 46,000 plus jamming Miller Park for these playoff games? Is MLB limiting the standing room only Tickets or what? Does anyone know?
  7. I actually enjoyed the four days without baseball...... it was fun looking ahead at the matchup and studying the other team a bit more than usual. Well, game day is here! Go Brew!
  8. Predicted Cedeno in, Guerra out.... Our bench is 5 deep (Santana, Granderso, Perez, Schoop, Pina). Guerra is guy #25 right now, I presume. My guess is that he is mop up duty in a game that is a blowout either way. That is saying something since he has pitched well out of the bullpen.
  9. If he was reassigned to the team, my guess is that he'll be helping in the front office. Does he want to keep coaching lower level talent at his age?
  10. Throw in starting Suppan in Game 4 of the 2008 NLDS..... also, didn't Kotsay hit a HR in his start in 2011 NLCS Game 4?? They also won that game. Others have brought this up over the years, yet he did well in the start, didn't he?
  11. Greatest call in the history of the team...
  12. Pretty sure the Schoop trade isn't off limits when it comes to being critical.... Then again, he is just a key hit away from the trade being a great one...... maybe against the best lefty in the game.
  13. No need for me to type it out since I think this nails it. It's as simple as needing 1 more pitcher for the potential 7 games in 9 days, and swapping out the one dimensional Santana for an added lefty in the pen (Cedeno). Would be shocked if Santana is not on the roster......possibly the best bat off the bench. The bullpen is rested. Guerra for Cedeno..
  14. If Dodgers win, Guerra out..... Cedeno in. That is the easy one. Another lefty off the bench makes sense to me, but is Thames logical now? I can't see us pulling that trigger. Another starter makes sense with a 7 game series, but the Dodgers hit righties somewhat better than lefties. Pitching Chacin, Gio, and Miley 2 a piece with a bullpen game mixed in seems about right. Not sure who pitches when. That leaves out Chase and Davies.
  15. Brewers interest is at the 2008 and 2011 levels right now. I'm not sure about 82, but fans are pretty crazy now. Pushing the Cards out of the playoffs, beating the Cubs for the division, and going up 2-0 in the NLDS will do that. The best script for WI/Milwaukee has the team knocking off the Rockies, big money LA, and the hated Yankees from the AL days. It would be the 60th/61st anniversary of the Milwaukee Braves/Yanks World Series. It probably won't work out this way, but it could. Crazier things have happened, this year alone.
  16. Seth McClung
  17. So we are all going to pretend that no one would be beyond upset to lose that game on a GW double with the bases loaded and Woodruff, not Jeffress, on the mound? This situation has popped up a few other times this year when guys have planned days off- Jennings pitching in the 8th with bases loaded rings a bell. I question the logic of calling any relief pitcher off limits in any game when he didn't pitch the day before... the situation might have called for Jeffress to get the final bases loaded out for the division.
  18. At this point, does it really matter? We are still playing games, right? Yep, it matters. If Jeffress pitches Game 1, are we going to be holding Jeffress out of Game 2? Awfully strange when people are saying all is well.
  19. Brewerfan.net blows up if Woodruff blows that game. Play around all you want since we won (and wow what a win it was). Saying Jeffress was hurt would have been the only saving grace. "Saving" Jeffress for the next day when the team has a lead with the division on the line is at hand, Cubs hanging by a thread?
  20. Inexcusable if Woodruff would have trotted out there in the 9th under any situation with a healthy Jeffress. Nuts.
  21. Both 2016 and 2017 had night games early in the NLDS for Games 1 and 2. Cubs were part of both of those years. If it's Cubs/Brewers, that could continues with us playing the early game at 6 and the Dodgers at 9. Red Sox/Yanks could make the headliner though and push NL early on Friday. Root for Oakland.
  22. I was all for leaving good Hader on the mound in the ninth. However, Any word on why Woodruff was warming instead of Jeffress? Is Jeffress hurt or was he off limits for some crazy reason? If Rizzo gets on in the 9th, would Woodruff have been called upon to get the last out for the division title? Finding this fascinating that he was up throwing.....
