  1. I would agree with you BEFORE I read the article.
  2. Gotta believe the team has broached the discussion and that the team wants him to take a 3-4 year deal. The hold up, as I read between the lines, is that CC doesn’t know if he wants to continue or not. The article mentions his kids playing a role in this too and if Craig wants to transition. Overall, both parties do not seem concerned about the matter, but my guess is that Counsell doesn’t want to commit to anything beyond this year. Might it be possible that the 2022 season turned both Stearns and Counsell so much that both do not want to be a part of this team long term? Both a general manager saying no mas to this year and a manager not looking for an extension before his last year begins are odd things to say the least. Check out this article from Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Brewers manager Craig Counsell's contract is on management's agenda but talks likely won't seriously pick up until late summer https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2023/02/17/brewers-manager-craig-counsells-contract-is-on-managements-agenda/69917430007/
  3. I think bringing kids to the first deck, RF corner play zone is something somewhat of a must, especially if we are talking a typical mid season game. It’s free and it’s for kids of all ages…. Baseball themed with hitt8ng, throwing, and running games. Walking completely around the stadium or to the very top seem to go over well with the kids too….both take 10 minutes or so.. I like the Selig Experience… like to do that once a year. Taking in a batting practice is nice to do yearly, as well. Not nearly the homer ball opportunities as in the early 2000s at Miller Park or at most other stadiums, but still fun.
  4. Constanza hurt his right arm too, didn’t he?
  5. “You need?”…. The need to manage the family budget is many times more important to me than how much I “share” in funding the payroll. Not paying for meh food at crazy prices. $8 water? Not going to buy much, if anything. I pay for tickets, parking, and cable to see or support the team.
  6. I really don’t care where we are ranked in price. That’s not relevant to me forking over cash for ballpark food at crazy costs.
  7. The bullpen was bad in August and September, and it feels worse now. When like half your bullpen spots are up for grabs, that is not encouraging.
  8. It is the price too. I can get good food outside of the stadium for half or a third of the cost.
  9. I haven’t heard how much Attanasio is willing to put toward the facilities….until that number is set, I am not sure what to think. I think it should be a joint venture with Attanasio throwing about as much $ at the stadium as the state… we’ll see.
  10. Either use blue or actually be funny.
  11. So awesome…. Keep the faith alive and go Brewers! I question openly why he wasn’t brought up last year! Pennant drive. Cutch was awful…. Should have joined Cain at home in September. And I think he is better or will be better than Mitchell. Could he alone have made the difference down the stretch last year? Probably not, but maybe. Letting Cutch hit almost daily against righties was not producing positive results.
  12. He should take his 10 million and humbly thank Milwaukee families who pay $200 a game to see him pitch.
  13. “IF THE TEAM…” You cast stones at the team based on this?. That’s what I don’t get…. a pretty strong opinion based on your own words of “If the team….”
  14. Criticizing the team for being foolish based on what exactly? Second hand comments made by an upset player? Burnes sits in an arbitration hearing, doesn’t hear wonderful things about himself for a change, and now needs to vent about a strained relationship. Sad. He simply shouldn’t get the money on attitude alone….. or even a better reason…not being ready to pitch 2021 NLDS Game 4 in Atlanta on short rest (so Woody could go on normal rest Game 5).
  15. He’s actually complaining about this. What a complete tool… making 10 million and ungrateful. Trading him looks better.
  16. So hundreds of millions…. At least hundreds of millions of dollars will be needed for American Family Field?
  17. If Hader could be traded sitting in first place, Burnes can be traded at the deadline too. If the team is not doing well, or even .500…. he is gone mid season.
  18. So far…. And I assume there will be a few mainly minor moves yet in the bullpen especially, I would give the offseason a B-. A B- is a fairly unassuming, blah grade. It’s better than average by a bit, but it is not something to get overly excited about. However, Contreras is a reason to get excited about the catching position. Yet, he alone does not an offseason make. We arguably got rid of 2 of our best hitters last year with Renfroe and Wong. We are relying on rookies playing a big role in 2023 and trusting them to hit. Our bullpen was awful after adios Hader, and nothing has shown me it is any better. if ever there was a time in Brewers history to go get another big bat and shore up the pen somehow, it would be this year. The rebuild or whatever it is starts in 2024. Burnes, the best pitcher the team has ever had, and maybe even Woodruff will likely not be around. And this bit of sad truth alone is reason to feel blah about what hasn’t happened this offseason.
  19. I enjoy those Loge areas, as well. Prices were jacked up for this coming year, it looks like. Those press box Infield Loge sections are now called the Loge Infield Platinum. Instead of $44 to $48 on average, it looks like $55-$60 per seat. Usher Bill is the best.
  20. My guess is 10 and 20 pack prices will be my guess for the most accurate for average individual prices… https://mktg.mlbstatic.com/brewers/documents/tickets/ticket-plans-pricing-10-packs.pdf
  21. Pregame- Arbys in the suburbs During- Free pop and brought in candy bars After- McDonalds cone
  22. You are getting droves of people from outside the city…. they do not want the hassles of downtown. And you need droves of people in baseball for 81 home games. And if you thought parking was bad for the Bucks at times with long walks to the car, double that with a baseball team in the heart of the city. And you may be right that this part of the city isn’t THAT bad with crime. However, the other bad parts of Milwaukee have ruined that dialogue. People from a half hour plus away still come regularly to AmFam in droves because it is not city driving, traffic is usually good, and parking is plentiful.
  23. Ticket prices vary by game… Fridays more, Saturdays, the most. Yes, you will pay far less… half maybe, by just buying StubHub the day of or waiting for team flash sales. That might be $10 total in same section. It’s a joke to pay “discounted” team price now for kinda meh seats down the line on the second deck. It’s $38 times 4 people in family =$152… gas and parking gets you over $200. And you haven’t eaten yet! It’s a joke the discounted part. Go on weekdays to get the kids half price. Get Uecker seats or Monday $6 seats and wander around and sit in your Loge OF. Ushers only care about getting people out of high priced areas sadly…. totally absent in the Loge OF for most games I’d say (but I guess I haven’t sat there in years… maybe it’s changed, but I doubt it). It’s even better to get 25 group tickets on $10 group days if you can find the people… you get two freebies to another game too for being group leader. https://mktg.mlbstatic.com/brewers/documents/tickets/group-pricing.pdf I think looking at the 20 game plans ticket prices give you a pretty good idea what to expect on average prices for individual tickets. https://mktg.mlbstatic.com/brewers/documents/tickets/ticket-plans-pricing-comparison-renewal.pdf
  24. Thousands upon tens of thousands have no interest in seeing baseball in downtown Milwaukee, primarily for the crime alone. Others would go less because of no tailgating and just to avoid traffic.
  25. Where is the fuss? I don’t care…just being accurate. There is a “new” ball and glove logo.
