Anyone have a vacation rental that they own and produces income for them? I am looking to invest but want something that I can use for fun and maybe make a few bucks as well.

I believe most schools require Personal Finance these days to graduate. I am biased since I teach personal finance but it is incredibly valuable. Good for you! I took that class in HS, but I didn't pay too much attention to anything that year other than girls and beer. Some of it must have sunk in though. One of the things I would like t do in retirement is be a "life coach" if there's any non-profit out there that provides that sort of service. I'm done preaching this to my children for the most part, they're adults. But I would love o help others who are ready to change and need help. We all have family/friends where you think (or say) what are you doing!?! Something as small as paying $3 to get $20 from an ATM or paying delivery fees and tip to get Noodles from Uber Eats. To bigger things like always, always, always pay-off your CC in full every month. Don't buy more house/car than you can afford, etc. If your employer offers 401k match, that's called free money! It's frustrating because most of this stuff is common sense. I also believe many people inherently know a lot of this, but it's no fun to say no. I want the newest Iphone, I want to eat out every day, I want that new car, I want Starbucks every day, etc. But it's my money and I want it now!

I think you can safely assume that you can get high-speed internet and either HuluLive or YouTube TV for ~$115. So, again depending on what add-ons you have that effects that price, that would be a $400 savings-ish at a rate that you don't have to call and negotiate after 12-24 months repeatedly. The only actual high speed internet here is Spectrum and that is $50ish a month with a promo price. I thought I read somewhere it goes up to around $80 a month after that year is up. AT&T also services this area (and is cheaper) but it is not what I would consider to be high speed. Are there internet services that are as fast as Spectrum but cheaper out there?

I definitely wouldn't have cable and internet at $200+ a month. Right now, with spectrum, I am in the $150's for high speed internet and cable so it doesn't make sense for me to drop it yet. No, that isn't a promotional price either. I used to pay in the $120's.

I watched The Gentleman last night and really enjoyed it. The only downside was that it was a little hard to understand at times with the accent. Also, if you don't like the "C" word, don't watch this movie.

Always been my argument as well. Seems like a lot of screwing around for minimal savings. Now the equation changes if you get extremely cheap internet, do illegal things and/or don't want very many channels to watch.

1917 was great and one of those movies you should really see at the theatre.

I actually prefer their frozens over the fresh. A great pizza! I prefer their fresh pizzas dining there, but yes, the frozen pizzas are excellent too. Have you ever dined in at their business, take out, or delivery? Or have you only had the frozen pizzas? I have had quite a few drunken nights eating there.

For some reason I rented The Oath. I was able to make it about 30 minutes before turning it off. What a stupid movie.

Still, it appears that all 4 of these guys stand a chance of being at least MLB regulars. Highly unlikely that all 4 are MLB regulars.

If you like the Broken Lizard crew, Tacoma FD has been pretty decent.

Not my favorite show but I did like Lethal Weapon. Not good when one of the main characters got fired and another was rumored to want out. Oh well.
