  1. Being a marketing guy, the team should be doing this ALL of the time to let fans see the personalities of players. The only downside, obviously, is being a small market team that has to trade or let guys go when they get expensive. But there is nothing to say they couldn't be doing this with prospects or 1st year guys.
  2. So that job report... wow
  3. Because Rodgers is a diva and will need to get "wooed" and will try to use leverage to get his guys.
  4. I'm guessing at Chafin's age he is looking at more of the total earnings than the yearly. He also may have misjudged his market too. I bet once one of these guys sign, the rest will sign quickly afterwards.
  5. Strahm signed almost 2 months ago and the late signing market is always different.
  6. Yet oil went under $80 per barrel yesterday. I think gas prices will go up over fears that China re-opening will drive up demand significantly. Ironically, the bears that have been saying the economy and market would get destroyed appear to be wrong (or they have been saying "it's still coming!") and that will push up oil prices.
  7. They don't which is why I asked for evidence. I am guessing I won't be getting anything other than "find it yourself"
  8. Hopefully the AFC Championship game is better than this game.
  9. Yeah the Packers don't make money but when re-sellers can't make money/get their investment back they will drop their season tickets. Getting into Lambeau is not difficult at all anymore.
  10. I think re-sellers are going to have one heck of a time once the team hits a real rough patch. Even after this season's losing streak, getting rid of tickets was not easy.
  11. He should not be allowed to draft anyone in the 3rd round.
  12. Yeah, you're gonna have to show your work a bit on your claims on the front office. I look forward to the links and articles so I can read about it.
  13. I gotta assume their agents are not wanting to set the market by signing first so they are waiting.
  14. But of all teams in professional sports to say this about, you pick the team that doesn't have an actual owner to pocket all of this money?
  15. Yeah they should be able to get some return for Rodgers but nothing like it would have been last offseason. The mountain of dead cap from all of this is huge. TT got a lot of flack for being too conservative but he generally left the cap in a good place.
  16. Nope. You must have been watching a different team than I did if you thought running it back and killing your future was the move. Ever sense the offseason when they signed the Smiths, they were kicking the can down the road with the cap. You can't keep doing that forever. I don't have an issue with Rodgers the player nearly as much as the contract they gave him. They paid him like he was going to be the same old AR. It appears that many of you fell for that too despite Father Time being undefeated. None of this includes the stupid drama and BS baggage he brings along with him. The opportunity cost was huge, you know buy low and sell high. Taking the Russell Wilson trade for Rodgers would have been a tremendous start to a short rebuild. You do that along with letting some vets go, clean up the cap and be ready for the next run. I had mentioned last offseason that it was time to see what Jordan Love can do and hopefully they will finally let him play.
  17. Yes! I have caught myself saying "you too" in situations that do not warrant them.
  18. I am in favor of doing a league wide model and offering better options for streamers. Here is the issue: streamers will not want to pay what it will be to see their teams under what the current revenue models. These billions of dollars have to come from somewhere.
  19. You are proving my point that the team was not good enough unless they have darn near perfect health. Because they have to pay Rodgers so much money, they can't afford to have capable backups. When the likely injuries occur, they are sunk. Even this year I am hearing "if only Gary and Stokes wouldn't have gotten injured". It happens every year in the NFL to pretty much every team. The Packers playing in a poor division have allowed them to rack up wins and fool fans into thinking they are better than they are.
  20. If it wasn't obvious after the playoff game at home against SF last year, I don't know how much more obvious it could have gotten. The defense kept the team in the game, not the offense. That should have been the clue to not make a 39 year old quarterback one of the highest paid players in football.
  21. You don't pay a 39 year old QB that had just choked in the playoffs 150 million for 3 years. The roster wasn't good enough which is why they couldn't get it done. Rodgers signed his extension on March 15th and Adams was traded on March 18th. It is highly likely the Packers knew he was gone before Rodgers signed. I don't get the "run it back" people with Rodgers. With the cap problems, they need to do a re-set. They needed to do it last year and are now paying the price. Other than Brady, old QBs don't carry their team's to Super Bowls.
  22. Right, signing Rodgers to that contract and not getting a haul (which he will not get nearly as much now) is not Monday morning quarterbacking by any means. Relying on a 39 year old quarterback to carry your passing game with little help was not a recipe for success. Who could have seen that coming?
  23. They goofed up not sending AR to the Broncos last year so hopefully they don't mess it up again.
  24. Hackett getting the OC job with the Jets will make NY a good fit for AR.
