  1. Marco has a very athletic swing. He is a major prospect if he can catch
  2. I think it's likely we will have a long term 3B from the minor leagues after next season so Bohm fits the timeline. I don't disagree that prospects would probably be more likely but the idea of Bohm is not to punt on this season.
  3. I don't think that trading any reliever would mean the team is punting on the season. With all of the pitchers on track to come back, we are set to make a move. Bohm for Megill would certainly be interesting. I'd be in favor of it just for my viewing pleasure of not having to watch Durbin suck at 3rd. Bohm isn't a world beater but he certainly fits our prospect timeline much better than some other options.
  4. Unless things dramatically change, it would make sense for the team to be sellers this season. I thought I would group players by if they should be traded. Definitely Trade: Civale, Cortes, Quintana, Hoskins, Payamps Possibly Trade: Megill, Koenig, Perkins Trade if the Return is Large: Peralta, Mears and Contreras The team can set themselves up well for the future if they handle this deadline well. I am ready to let the kids play and see if they can make it. What are some good fits for these players?
  5. Send someone down, trade someone away. This team needs a shakeup. Too lifeless and comfortable
  6. A tornado hit my parent's farm. It is going to take forever to rebuild and clean up.
  7. Mis is a top 10 prospect in baseball if this control is real.
  8. It's been great (minus the first episode). I have to watch with subtitles on and do not understand all of the slang.
  9. Calling Freddy a #2 starter is dismissing the year he is having and the changes he's made. Also, you get two playoff runs with an underpaid Peralta plus at worst a comp pick.
  10. BTV (which I know isn't the Bible) has it as a slight overpay for the Brewers so it's probably in the ballpark for an aggressive team
  11. Assuming that the Brewers continue to play around .500 ball, it is probably time to consider selling and re-tooling for 2026. While there are obvious candidates to be traded (Cortes, Quintana, Civale, Hoskins and Payamps), Freddy is a different situation. Right now, he is having a career year. I know some have mentioned extending him but I would rather not extend a pitcher with his frame and age. This season might be the time to extract the most value. One team that isn't afraid to deal top prospects and could fit in well with would be the Padres. They also have budgetary concerns so Peralta's modest contract would be incredibly enticing. Brewers Trade: Peralta (BTV 45.5) Padres Trade: De Vries (BTV 44.9) Yes, De Vries is a highly rated prospect that do not often get traded these days but he is still in A ball. Most teams likely wouldn't consider something like this but the Padres have continually shown they will be aggressive and need to make a move to compete with the Dodgers and Giants. For the Brewers, having an infield of Made, Pena and De Vries all developing together would be incredible for the future. I'm only trading Peralta this season if you can get someone with this kind of upside.
  12. Okay but AA is not the majors. If he gets sent to Biloxi by year end, what does that have to do with Ortiz? Pratt is at least a potential longshot option.
  13. The NL is very strong this year. I wouldn't hate selling the vets and letting some of the kids play so we know what we have for next season. (Assuming our playoff odds are low)
  14. Made? He just turned 18 and is in A ball. He is in no way closing in.
  15. Rule of thumb is normally three players that have little value are not traded for one player that has decent value.
  16. Happy for Wilken, he seems to have overcome getting hit in the face
  17. Adamczewski's swing is a thing of beauty. I hope the org pushes him and some of the other Mudcats.
  18. My girlfriend's family owns a recycling yard. Metal has gone down 40% in the last month. Use that information however you'd like.
