    This doesn't surprise me. Mostly anecdotal but for the most part Ichiro is well known in Japan for being kinda smug and a borderline jerk. This is part of the reason Matsui has always been much more famous. Add in the random, hilarious in my opinion, comments about South Korea and Cleveland and you definitely get a better feel for the guy. That being said...I really like Ichiro and it would be cool to have him.

    Oh, no doubt brown rice is better for you than white rice. My point is simply that white rice is not bad for you. The quick rise to judgment in the west seems to totally disregard that in some parts of the world people eat a lot of it. For the most part the rice is the same as what we get here. I buy the same brands as I bought over there. The same stuff I watched people shovel load after load into their mouth three times a day. Rice...is not eaten in moderation. For the most part I would argue that people actually eat more food over there (Japan in my experience) but, BUT, they dont eat all the fry-olated awfullness fortified with a 72oz mega gulp we subject ourselves to.

    Wow, chuck wii fit under the bad column cause this guy says so. It may not be THE way but it is A way. Now, see..I would throw the rice thing under bad advice. There happens to be a few people in Asia that eat a crapload of rice everyday. Seems to be working out ok for them.

    Lame as it may be....here is what I did Nintendo Wii Fit. I have had it for almost 3 months and have lost about 20lbs. The wii icon now calls me normal! Gimmick..yes...but if used as a tool i think it can be very helpful. My plan was to not alter my lifestyle in any substantial way. I have not changed my overall eating habits. Although, I refuse soda and chips on principle and my wife is not American so our meals are naturally more healthy. The wii by making you weigh in every day and I prefer to do this towards the end of the day making myself much more aware of my dinner choices. Typically, I make sure to do at least 30minutes of workouts with the wii everday. A great thing about it is that it keeps track of your total hours as well as charting your weight/bmi progress. Im over 60hrs now and shootin for 100. I really think this is a great tool and would suggest it to anyone.

    I recently emailed my provided, Comcast, to get the lowdown. Basically one game is picked as the regional game and you get that game. Then there is overflow channels that will play any other game that is on. So in theory you should be able to watch any game.

    I would like to add this new song by Kid Rock.....i cant bother myself by knowing the name of it...all that needs to be known is that he took the melody from Warren Zevons Werewolves of London and disco-ed it up. Frankly, i was pissed when i heard this "song". It is everything that is wrong with pop music.

    The world does expand past Europe. I would put pretty good money on Beckham being much more famous than James in just about every country on the planet. Asia, outside of China, South America, Australia, Europe...cmon to them basketball is, at best, what tennis is here.
