  1. I think you're probably right, homer. I think that of their 'main' three free agents, they should re-sign Linsley but likely won't, they shouldn't re-sign King, and they probably shouldn't and won't re-sign Jones. I think their big offseason moves will be re-signing Williams and an Adams extension, then the rest will be left to the draft.
  2. I mean, would you also let Linsley walk? You get to a point where you are running out of quality offensive linemen. They've got a really tough question to answer regarding Linsley. On the one hand, he's the best center in the game. On the other, he's going to want to get paid accordingly, and their resources next year are undeniably limited. They have a very capable replacement in Jenkins, but it'll likely depend on how they feel about Patrick/Runyan as their potential guards. Knowing that Bahk is out for probably at least some of 2021 as well makes the choice even more difficult, IMO.
  3. Though I agree that 'cap hell' doesn't accurately describe the Packers' situation, and assuming you're referencing Barnwell's article, his supporting materials put the Packers at 28th of the 32 teams in cap space, one of ten negative teams. And of the playoff teams, only the Saints (who, as you note, have a horrid and unmanageable disaster with the cap) and Steelers are below them. Yes, the moves noted above gets them to literally zero. But they'll have to get mighty creative to a) create the necessary space to actually sign their draft class, and B)make any sort of moves to either re-sign their other FAs or to bring in anyone to address a need. So, not cap hell, but certainly not a rosy picture. Bahktiari's restructure is a bit puzzling to propose as well. The Packers knew what the cap situation was, and signed him just a few weeks ago. Why would they then convert a roster bonus into a signing bonus, when they simply could have done that a few weeks ago when he signed the contract?
  4. Clearly I'm wired differently than the guys that engage in this 'frat boy-like' behavior, but I've truly never understood what he/men that do this think is the likely/expected outcome of doing this, especially when the woman has rejected other advances already. Raging stupidity. And yeah, it's remarkable that the Mets are just finding out about this now.
  5. The whole point of the vaccine is to prevent people from getting it and potentially to reduce the severity of the cases for people who eventually do get it after getting the vaccine. There is no effective 'treatment' on the horizon to my knowledge that would benefit society more than a preventative vaccine. The vaccine is our only realistic way out of this at this point.
  6. A lot of that is that the Saints have really underperformed in the playoffs. I believe I heard mention that yesterday was like their third straight home playoff loss in the divisional round, or something like that? Edit: The stat is that they've lost three of their last four home playoff games, the only win being last week vs. the Bears.
  7. That'll do it. Tampa it is.
  8. The bulk of this team was built by John Dorsey before they stupidly ran him out of town. Well, both of these teams, actually....

  10. That’s a concussion for Mahomes for sure....
  11. I'm responding to this proposal. I can't speak for anyone else. Oh, I understand- I was merely hoping to determine the origin of the conversation rather than any of the specific points discussed. I’m genuinely curious if this was sparked by anything more than one story, or if there are actually wider-spread plans to accelerate teacher vaccinations.
  12. There's a lot of discussion here about "vaccinating teachers ahead of older people". Other than the previously linked story about the issue with Janesville schools, which I believe was in the end halted by DHS and called an 'erroneous plan not in compliance with the current phase', is there actually any situations beyond that that show that this is actually something happening on a widespread scale? (Vs. teachers who DO fall into one of the high-risk categories themselves getting vaccinated on a case-by-case basis) Curious where that narrative came from, or if it was purely based on the Janesville story.
  13. This assumes that bars aren't operating right now, which is untrue in most Wisconsin locations....
  14. Going for 2 here? Three-score game if you get it....
  15. Those were two horrid attempts into the end zone. Lucky to still have a shot at 3.
  16. The Rams did not agree. I didn’t adjust my calculations for the Pettine factor.
  17. Everything going according to plan? A devastatingly stupid special teams play and a horrid defensive drive will fix that!!
  18. This three-headed monster at RB is mighty awesome.
  19. A TD here and you can effectively eliminate their running game.
  20. Interior o line playing very well so far....
  21. That was an ugly 4th and 1 series for the Rams....
  22. Adams was only open because they were baiting Rodgers. He might be able to get that there, but there were two guys in position to pick that ball off.
  23. Happy Jared Veldheer potentially destroys the season day, everyone! Holding my breath until this morning’s COVID test results are reported....
  24. Martinez is getting old and hasn't really hit in a couple of seasons. Interesting them signing him with Dom Smith on the roster. It really does suggest that a deal for Smith might be possible, and the Brewers should be all over that.
  25. I doubt there is any real market for Braun's services. If he wants to play, whatever deal he signs will be "cheap". What do you define as cheap? $2 million? $5 million? Huge potential variance there, especially for a team like the Brewers this off season....
