  1. I think the implication is that it's a 2020 recruit, not a transfer, but you could be right.
  2. Matt Stafford? David Carr? Ryan Tannehill? Sorry, I don't see it...
  3. I think this is a good point, and likely the result of the investment in safeties in the offseason. Over the top-type safety play/coverage was much, much improved, but there is still a deficiency in the underneath coverage that partially/mostly involves the LB's and slot cover guys.
  4. I'd say o-line play, the running game, and pass rush all improved significantly, as did FG kicking. The return game was much better after Ervin was acquired as well. Still deficiencies in run defense (and d-line, LB play), underneath pass coverage, and the passing game.
  5. So, it felt like the Packers entered last offseason with a ton of holes, and they addressed them very well for the most part. What do we think needs addressing at this point, and who fits the bill? For my money, it seems like MLB, one of the DE sports, RT, TE, and WR are the big spots. I'd assume they'll move on from Graham and Bulaga (the latter is a free agent). Hunter Henry seems like the best TE in the class, depending on your thoughts on Ebron. Linemen are a little thin, unless you buy Turner at RT and sign someone like Scherff or Thuney. Other thoughts?
  6. I just don't know who else it would be if not Bradford. They're not really in on anyone else, unless there's a major surprise flip someplace.
  7. I see no reason why the Packers would give up on MVS or St. Brown at this point, but it's an important camp for both next year, I'd think. But the WR room does need legit infusion of talent. I'd like to see at least a 2nd devoted to the position, as it's a super deep WR draft, and a solid vet brought in to be the 2/3. Cooper is the dream, but that's probably unrealistic.
  8. The 49ers need to make a mistake via turnover to allow any glimmer of hope here. 27-14 heading into the 4th would make it at least plausible.
  9. I guess we'll agree to disagree, but I'd expect most of the metrics that you cite would support them been a very good line on the whole.
  10. I think you are selling the 49ers short in just calling them 'good'. Their defense has been elite all year, and their offense has been very, very good as well.
  11. I think it's always a good think if you can add talent to the leadership of the team, so I'd certainly be for it.
  12. I think you missed my point. If you thought they weren't going to win, how can you be angry that they didn't win?
  13. Did you expect a win coming in? Most didn't.
  14. Ok, there's a lot to be critical of, but let's not say things we can't take back. They've basically played three bad games all year, and all three were against the best pass rush teams in the league.
  15. Yes please. He is a fraud. Actually, I agree with this. I think Pettine is a guy who inherited a terrible defense, made some improvements to make them somewhat better, than got a lot of credit for increased succcess that came as a result of a major talent infusion, yet still didn't improve enough. I'd have zero problem if LaFleur wanted to bring in his own guy if Pettine moves on. I think the only danger is changing the whole scheme again could be problematic.
  16. I don’t know about frauds. They are what they are, at least a year away. The season as a whole exceeded expectations. Yep. The people viewing them as "frauds" are puzzling to me. It seems like there is a portion of the fan base who have been waiting to say 'I told you so' since October.
  17. Though I don’t necessarily disagree with the point of your post, this part is patently false.
  18. I didn’t think we’d win, but I really, really didn’t think we’d get blown out again. Yikes.
  19. The ‘let our guy catch a 3 yard pass and make a guy miss’ strategy isn’t going to work against this defense.
  20. Graham open for a first down on drive one. And he just had Jones on the slant on the last 3rd down. That slant was open for about .25 seconds, and may have been a pick six.
  21. Forgive my ignorance, but why was Chris Borland interviewed for a peice on Aaron Hernandez? What was their connection to each other?
  22. A lot of the 'experts' were picking us to lose last weekend too, so....
  23. Raven Greene has been activated from IR, so it's likely that Scott is good to go.
  24. Apparently the Badgers obtained a yet-to-be named commitment yesterday... the only 2020 recruit they were still in on is monster RB Kevontre Bradford out of Texas, so that would be a huge get, but there is speculation that it's someone in the transfer portal.
