  1. Rivers to the Colts for 1 year/$25 million. Far more surprising, Jason Witten has signed with the Raiders.
  2. Good idea. Except my two favorite restaurants - who were not at all hurting for business - have already closed due to this shutdown. Like out-of-business closed? That seems quick. These restrictions weren't even in place just a week ago!
  3. Interestingly, Leonard Floyd grades out as a good run defender off the Edge. I'm sure the plan is to use Gary more this year with Fackrell's departure, but a guy like Floyd might be an interesting lower-cost option to improve the run defense....
  4. Brees back to the Saints as everyone expected. Littleton to the Raiders. The Quinn deal with the Bears is odd, as was the Graham deal. It's basically double the money he was expected to get, and triple the guaranteed money. He was obviously great for the Rams early in his career, but tapered significantly before having a rebound in Dallas last year, where even there he graded out as just above-average. He may do well opposite Mack, but if he goes back to being a 5-6 sack guy that plays poorly against the run, this was an odd way for the Bears to use almost all of their cap space.
  5. Keep in mind, they still can save an additional ~$4.5 million by cutting/trading Lane Taylor, and a Bahktiari extension would likely reduce his cap number to save another ~$5-ish million. Linsley can be re-done too, so there's more flexibility there if the Packers want it. Posted at the same time as my post above! I wonder if they're trying to work a trade rather than cutting him, causing the delay.
  6. It really would be the most Bears thing ever to give a huge contract to Brady and eat up their cap for a couple of year only to find out he's done.
  7. Long has already been removed from their cap projections except for his $1.5 million dead cap number. Floyd would create space, but a lot is waiting on how the Graham contract is structured, which hasn't been released yet to my knowledge.
  8. Blake Martinez to the Giants, 3/$30 million.
  9. I don't think the Bears have the cap for Brady, especially after signing Graham to that silly contract yesterday. I think Brady to Indy or the Chargers makes the most sense. I think he can win quickly in Indy.
  10. Bridgewater to the Bears is apparently unlikely, so they're focusing on Andy Dalton. A Chicago beat reporter was asked on Twitter yesterday who wins in a QB competition between Dalton, Trubisky, and Nick Foles, and his answer was Green Bay.
  11. That Diggs trade is a nice one for both teams. Vikings grab a bunch of picks, Bills get a real #1 to work with Allen.
  12. Surprised at all of the big names moved in trades today.
  13. About $14 million left, even factoring in the draft class. Doesn't the news CBA give them another $10MM or so in cap? Haven't trad the details yet, but thought I heard that somewhere. No, the cap was set lower than expected.
  14. I think it's possible if not likely that a Bahktiari extension gets done soon to keep him here longer and adjust his cap number down to free up space. Clark's deal could be massive. I'd still be in on Litteton. Kirksey is a nice boom or bust play at LB, but if he's injured again the position is actually worse off than last year since you're losing Martinez. Littleton would be a solid starter-type with Kirksey as your ILB2. Ebron is still available if they're interested in a FA TE here. Beyond that, there are the Amari Coopers of the world that would be a legit blockbuster, but that may take some serious cap creativity for Green Bay.
  15. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha, wow. A 4th+Hopkins for a 2nd+David Johnson. There are no words. Good lord. I don't know who the Packers' equivalent of David Johnson would have been at this point in Johnson's career, but I make that deal if I'm Gute. What a stunningly bad trade by Houston.
  16. About $14 million left, even factoring in the draft class.
  17. I think the question is more appropriate if the hospital system becomes taxed. It's easier to keep a number down when you don't have hospital beds in tents outside a hospital like in Italy.
  18. Any interest in Ebron? And I agree with everyone, the Hooper money is crazy for a solid TE. Certainly not worth 'best TE in the league' money.
  19. Semi-official cap numbers: Kirksey has a $1.75 million base, bonuses of $3.25 million, and a total cap # of $5 million for 2020. Wagner is a $2.25 million base, bonuses of $2.56 million, and a total cap # of $4,812,500 for 2020. Still ~$14 million to work with as of now.
  20. I think the issue is that we're basically at the point right now where the growth curve spiked exponentially elsewhere in looking at the historical charts. It's really a week or two where we hold our breath to see whether the steps taken thus far keep us on a flatter curve, or whether things spike uncontrollably. Again, just my opinion, but I think there are going to be pockets (I'm looking at you, New Orleans) where measures have been lax and you'll see absurd growth, while the overall numbers remain somewhat restrained.
  21. Rumor has it that Wagner's contract is back-loaded, with a cap number of just ~$3 million for 2020, giving the Packers additional cap room to make some moves.
  22. Honestly, if they can re-sign Jared Veldheer, Wagner/Veldheer at RT supplemented with a draft pick may be a good option for both 2020 and the longer-term.
  23. Wagner consistently graded as a very good RT until last year. Whether that's age-related drop-off or something else is yet-to-be determined, but I'm assuming the Packers think there's something they can fix or that he should rebound. Looks like $11 million/2 years with $3.5 million guaranteed for Wagner.
