  1. Yikes. That's truly horrifying.
  2. Just a reminder that if you can't be civil, we'll be happy to socially distance you from the site for a day or two.
  3. Rumor was that the Packers were in on Sanders, so it does appear that they're looking at vet options in free agency. Ebron is the TE I wanted, and I'm disappointed he's off the board.
  4. igor, is it safe to assume that a lot of the testing is 'right to try' testing on actual patients currently effected?
  5. Bold added for emphasis, as this is a big difference- non-essential businesses have been closed. Meaning, you can go to get food and gas, etc., but a lot of other businesses will be shut down. Working from home will obviously continue for those that can, though. I'm curious to see how various states define essential vs. non-essential. For example I work in manufacturing producing paper. So I don't know where I'd fall on that. Fair question, and I don't know if any of us truly know the answer until each state defines 'essential' as you note.

  7. I suppose I'm not surprised they moved on (especially considering the large roster bonus he was due if they kept him), but I'm a bit surprised that a team with cap room like the Dolphins wouldn't have traded a pick for him.
  8. I’m fine with that as well, but for a Mercedes Lewis type deal, which is probably too low for Clay.
  9. Quarantine in place order issued for the entire state of California tonight.
  10. I'm moderately shocked that Gurley wasn't traded. I guess that reinforces the disposable nature of RB's in this NFL environment, even ones that have scored 12+ TDs in three straight seasons... And Matthews didn't last long in LA. He actually had a solid year for them, though again, injured for part of it.
  11. Sean Payton has tested positive for coronavirus.
  12. Interesting to note, with the Foles acquisition and the Quinn signing, the Bears are estimated at ~$10 million OVER the cap. And that doesn't include Graham's contract, as no details have been released.
  13. Or at least supplement the title of this thread! Done.
  14. They've traded away a lot of their draft capital which would allow them to potentially draft a difference maker. Part of that is the 4 picks they traded to move up one spot in the draft to acquire their bridge quarterback between Mike Glennon and Nick Foles.
  15. Right. It's not as easy as a just "keep the old people away from everybody" strategy. It's "keep the 50 million Americans over 70 away from everybody." And also "keep the 26 million Americans with diabetes away from everybody." And "keep the 120 million Americans with heart disease away from everybody".
  16. But we don't know who is carrying it to give it to them. So you restrict contact with the at risk people for a month, hell 3 months, potentially having to quarantine caregivers with them during that time. Then you let the virus run its course though the incredible majority of people it doesnt severely impact during that time without putting the world on house arrest. It sucks, but compared to this it's probably an easier process to implement and actually implement properly. Possibly easier, but shown to be less effective in every scenario/simulation I've seen.
  17. Why? We already know who the at risk people are. But we don't know who is carrying it to give it to them.
  18. I think that's the dead cap from his signing bonus. I think the Bears absorb all of the remaining contract.
  19. Apparently, yes.
  20. Nick Foles to the Bears for a 4th.
  21. I think the Packers have enough cap room for one bigger signing and maybe 2-3 smaller ones. Not sure where Ebron falls on that spectrum, but I'm in favor of bringing him in as a vet to go along with Sternberger & Tonyan. I don't like the idea of going solely with two raw guys at the position if they rely on the draft. Robby Anderson is probably the best WR option out there if they look to free agency.
  22. Silverstein reporting that the Packers have talked to Ravens' ILB Josh Bynes. Bynes rated highly overall last year, and is known as a solid run-stopper. He said it's just talks at this point, but he seems like an interesting, low-cost option at ILB to improve the run defense.
  23. Early projections have the Packers gaining two 4th rounders and a 6th for losing Bulaga, Martinez, and Fackrell respectively at this point. Obviously, any additional signings could offset those picks. Wagner and Kirksey were both cut, and don't count in the compensation formula.
  24. Thanks for sharing that, adam. There's always a risk, obviously, but my wife and I have decided to start ordering take out a couple of times a week to help do what we can for local restaurants. There's probably only slightly more risk, if any, of the food preparer passing that to you than having it passed to you from your trip to the grocery store, where an infected person may have touched the door ahead of you, checkout credit card swipe machine, or even the food item you bought when it was being stocked on the shelf or picked up by someone then returned to the shelf when they didn't want it.
  25. Just a reminder that political posts aren’t allowed.
