  1. It sure would be great if the Badgers would remember how to play basketball well again. These are very mediocre teams they're struggling against, not the likes of Purdue or OSU.
  2. This is like the Vikings extending Childress....
  3. What did they do? Multiple "F Bo Ryan" chants, clear as a bell for national TV.
  4. I didn't direct a comment towards anyone. Condescending is when you direct a comment towards someone While we certainly appreciate your attempt to tell us how to interpret our own rules, your guideline isn't how it works here. A person can be condescending in general, as you were there. If it was directed at a specific person, it could have been either condescending, a personal attack, or both. Any further need for clarification should probably be taken to private messages.
  5. By me being dumbfounded and saying that the people who say these things about Hart must be fans of another team? What is wrong with that? I can't disagree with anyone? You can disagree with whomever you'd like. But you can't be condescending while you do it.
  6. As you can tell I am dumbfounded about the conversation that is taking place here and the people that are bashing him cannot be brewer fans Sigh.... You've been warned in other places here in the last few days about stuff like this, please accept this as a final warning.
  7. Yeah, back before I bought my place my renters' policy with State Farm covered memorabilia/collections up to a specific limit on my general policy.
  8. Who would have thought? Good one. Condescending, and against the forum rules here.
  9. Much like Michigan football, it's always great to whomp Indiana Basketball regardless of how down a program might currently be.
  10. This works out pretty well for both sides because of his injury. Since it's a one-year deal, if he can come back mid-year and pitch well from June/July on, he still gets his big payday next year, and if the M's fall out of the race, they can dangle him out there again as a rent-a-player at the deadline if he's healthy this year.
  11. because they are all below average athletically. Which usually means they are not serious threats in the end. And yet, they always have a team or two in the Final Four..... How'd the Big Ten do in that Big Ten/ACC challenge this year, BTW?
  12. Man, the Kohl center was LOUD as they made that huge run in the 8-9 minute mark.
  13. If I were Conan, I'd create my own company ala Oprah Conan's shows are produced by Conaco, which is a production company owned by O'Brien. So part one of your idea is already done http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. Davis hasn't been good since leaving Milwaukee. Actually, all three of his seasons in Arizona were much better than his last season in Milwaukee, and it really wasn't even close. His k/bb has been out of whack for a long time, and it has worked just fine for him. Sure, it could catch up to him eventually, but that's the beauty of a one year deal. If it doesn't work out, no big commitment.
  15. Many people are. I am one of them. Me too. I used to strongly prefer watching Leno to Letterman, now I strongly doubt I'll watch the Tonight Show at all because of this.
  16. The Badgers will be practicing outside at Elver Park today (Tues. 1/5) from Noon-1PM to get a feel for playing outside in preparation for their upcoming outdoor game. This was very cool to watch. Glad I made the trip over at lunch.
  17. If you log out and log back in right away, does it show the correct time? Yes, it does. Happened again today, with me supposedly logging in while I was at work this afternoon.
  18. That is typically correct, Tracy. The new releases usually take a while to make it to the 'instant' streaming.
  19. Ok, developments: I discovered yesterday while attempting to monitoring my account from a different computer that in order to log in to your account from any new computer requires them to send you a one-use PIN direct to your e-mail or phone. Now, I'd imagine that by the time someone had to go through all of this after hacking my password while finding a way to intercept the pin e-mail or text without it showing up on my blackberry would cause anyone to move on to someone else rather than waste the time. Also, I obviously changed the password as well as the user name, and the account this morning is saying that someone logged in at 2:05 am CST. Since I'm not using easy something like 'Peavey1' as my password, I'm going to go with the assumption that this is some sort of glitch on my bank's end. Does that seem like a logical conclusion for tech people out there?
  20. No, unfortunately it was like 20 after the hour. I did call tonight, and they pretty much said they can either close and re-issue the cards or I can continue on and just keep an eye on things.
  21. So I had the thrill this evening of logging on to an account that I have access to online this evening and seeing "you last logged on this morning at 11:47 am EST." Considering that I didn't, I'm a little worried. Is stuff like that accurate enough to get worked up about? Fortunately, I only have a credit card with the site in question, and it doesn't appear that any of my personal info (mailing address, etc) has been changed, and it doesn't seem like and sensitive info is available other than the account number (which is useless without the EXP and such). Any recommended courses of action? Obviously, I've already changed the password and don't use the same password for any other site. Someone please help ease my fears. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  22. I find it somewhat disconcerting that of all the pitchers on the market with past ties to Macha/Peterson with the A's, the Brewers chose to focus on Mulder and not Harden, Duchscherer, or even possibly Hudson. They're looking at Mulder on a minor-league low-risk deal. Which one of the three others you mentioned were signing that minor league deal?
  23. This may rank as one of the quieter, yet top moves of the offseason. No risk, high upside. Melvin seems to find one of those every year that actually pans out (Kapler, McGehee, Podsednik, etc). Hopefully this year it's a pitcher.
  24. Facebook's new 'privacy settings.' Anyone else notice that you no longer have any control over what actions (adding friends/posting on people's walls/liking a status/etc) you do that then appear on your wall and news feed?
