  1. i always find it interesting that people don't like people that they don't even know Not sure why that would factor into it at all. I'm sure no one dislikes Schroeder or Anderson (or Kasper or whomever) personally or in any way outside of as a baseball announcer. Since we know them as baseball announcers, I think people can not like them in that role without having to know them personally. Now, if the question is whether you'd let Brian Anderson date your sister or something, then you'd be right on.
  2. He does, but he's shown a reluctance. He had about 11 options down in the pen last night, and yet he continues to use Gagne in high leverage situations with clearly better options available. I don't think there's reluctance. Incompetence, maybe.
  3. If the game is on the line (1 or 2 run lead, 7th inning on) can we trust Gagne, Riske, Mota, Shouse (other than situationally), or Torres. I don't think so. And I don't think Nedley does either. Well, if Ned doesn't, then why does he keep using Shouse non-situationally, Gagne in the 8th inning of close games, etc?
  4. Derek Lowe as a B is very interesting. The Brewers would get a decent replacement for what they're going to lose in the rotation and not give their first rounder.

  7. Riske, Gags, Riske, Turnbow, and Mota....talk about a disaster. Turnbow and Gagne have been a disaster. Riske has been a disappointment, though still statistically fine. And Mota has probably surpassed expectations by a significant margin so far.
  8. We've played like crap in September so far and gained a half game on the Cubs.
  9. Our hitters really should be embarrassed. We get runners on, and it's like they forget how to play baseball.
  10. I can't believe that was called a ball.
  11. Prince Fielder won't be sucking at 1B for us in a few more years.
  12. I literally, LITERALLY, cannot ****ING No swearing, thanks.
  13. So, we can let CC throw 130+ pitches in a game where we have a big lead, but in a tight game as they're growing more and more important, and he's yanked for Gagne at 106? Mindnumbing.
  14. Ned's blinding incompetence is no longer excusable. Unfreakingbelievable.
  15. My God, when is enough enough? It's practically bad enough that Gagne is still on the dang team, but Ned's insistence on running him out there in crucial situations is a testament to his blinding incompetence that is hindering this team every freaking season.
  16. We've played like poop for 4 days, lost 4 straight and we fell to .20 games over .500 and a 4 game lead in the WC...it could be a lot worse. No kidding. I was almost stunned when I saw this morning that we still had a 4 game lead and were still 5 games behind the Cubs. It's almost unbelievable.
  17. Do we need background music/electronic organ music between every freakin' pitch? Maybe it would be better if the organist played a better variety of songs. It seems like by the 9th inning, he's played Hava Nagila so many times I wonder if there's a Bar Mitzvah going on.
  18. Lamb was a very useful player until his horrific 2008 so far. Not sure if his age (33) has just caught up with him ultra-suddenly, or what his problem has been this year. It should be interesting to see if he gets some starts at 3B, as this could be a sign that the team is really unhappy with it's thirdbase situation right now. Does this mean that Russell isn't expected to come back? There have been rumblings that his injury is fairly severe.
  19. An Ed Sedar bobblehead would probably be the strangest SGA honoree ever. A coaching staff nesting doll set would be very cool, though.
  20. Well, if the rumors are true that they want Green and want him to play 2B in their system, wouldn't it make more sense to get him in your system and actually get him started at 2B?
  21. The Mets will be leaving town soon, and not return for at least a month.
  22. Gagne has given up a run in 4 of his last 19 outings. Please quit over reacting. Vent thread.
  23. One other question, as the seeping has stopped at this point, but how concerned should I be about infection? There really isn't a worse place to have blisters in terms of being able to treat, cover, and monitor for problems than on the back of the freaking head under my hair, so I'm somewhat concerned that if the blisters have burst and are seeping, that I have little way to see any redness or to band-aid them, etc if they get infected.
  24. Listening to BA pronounce 'Groin' makes me smile.
  25. Yeah, you too BuckyTuba. Fortunately, I didn't discover the 2nd degree burns until late Saturday night, otherwise I probably wouldn't have been as cheerful as I was at the Big Ten. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
