    By the way, we have no idea if Torres will be back or not, he's a FA and has hinted at retirement as recent as June or July. The Brewers actually have an option on Torres, if I'm not mistaken.

    But Willis hasn't been average since 2006 and Gorzelanny has been horrific this year after finishing last year on a free fall and having a back problem earlier this year. Well, there has to be a reason for them being sent to AAA in the first place, as no competent team is going to demote and average to above average pitcher without something not going right.

    Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, however; and this is only my opinion, if you are truly a BREWERfan, you would want a BREWER to win the award over another organization.     At some point, Alcides is going to be the SS in MIL, barring injury. Or trade. I think with the rotation situation likely to be strained a bit next year, it seems quite possible if not likely that we see Hardy extended and Escobar dealt for a Cain-type this offseason.

    I beleive they had their attendance budget up around the 2.8 - 2.9 Million before the season started, and it looks as if that is right where they are headed, so I'm not sure those sellouts are going to make much difference. Actually, I think they're on pace to sell their 3,000,000th ticket virtually any day now. I think 3.1 million is a very likely number, so their attendance is almost certainly going to be higher than they expected. If they make the playoffs, revenues should be way ahead of budget.

    The difference offensively between Escobar/Gamel and Fielder/Cameron would be pretty huge, and probably not offset by adding Roberts to the mix. Also, Hart has been pretty mediocre in right, and probably wouldn't be a good CF for the entire season at all.

    No, it was bought in package. How large is the spot on the base for you? I have one about the size of a pin head on the top side, which I'm guessing is the problem.

    So I feel like a colossal moron, but I can't get my Ahman Green McFarlane to stand up- I've got Ahman on the metal pole, but I'm not able to get it into the base at all- what am I missing/doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

    he's also left a ton of base this year. And also knocked 54 runners in this year so far after missing the first month of the season. Yeah, he's made a couple of huge misplays, but also covers a ton of ground in CF and has played very good defense overall.

    I don't think the FO has any interest in Hart at CF. He could play there, and his offense would mean that he would be ok as an overall player, but overall he hasn't been good defensively. I agree completely. Corey has been simply decent in RF, but nothing exceptional. I don't think he's shown enough in right to suggest that he can handle CF well over 162. In a pinch or for a few days if Cam got banged up or something, sure, but not every day.

    I realized my screw-up in my first post of this thread. I meant to say "BA & OBP," not BA & OPS. But again, Cameron's only .08 points below his Career OBP, and .08 points below his career BA. Cameron isn't really performing below what should have been expected at all, especially considering his above-normal Slugging.

    It's clear that some people are so afraid of any technology beyond a checkbook or cash, so I doubt any further attempts to make the shopping experience more efficient would ever work. I do give Woodman's serious credit for implementing 'self-checkout' express lines for 20 items or less, that virtually eliminates the absurd Woodman's wait times at the checkout for those that so choose. But if you're ever there at the same time an elderly person is trying to figure out how it works, whoa boy.

    Unfortunately, he's probably done for 2008, so if they release a Sheets, it'll be in someone else's uniform in all likeliness. I think a Braun would be both cool and deserving.

    I'm not sure I understand. What does Rollins winning the MVP have to do with Morneau? Both Rollins and Morneau were poor choices for MVP's in the last two years, hence him calling the award a joke.
