  1. One thing I don't get is the constant insistence to use our 12th man in the late innings of close cames.
  2. Hardy didn't take off for the plate almost until the 2B caught the ball there. Someone missed a sign somewhere, as that was a broken play.
  3. Yeah rwa, I think we're talking about the same style of holder. But these cards are so thick, the holders I have are roughly a half inch thick. So, they're not quite thick enough to stand alone with out tipping, but too thick for the stands that I've got for other cards.
  4. He's very correct that after that 3rd-4th inning, his curveball looked much more sweeping. He was hitting 97 on the gun in the 2nd inning, so velocity hasn't been a problem, it's been location and command. If he's got his curve working now, he should put up some nice numbers going forward.
  5. Yeah, I can picture that. Have you thought about stands of some sort?
  6. I think Erin Andrews needs to do a mens magazine like maxim or stuff. An EA issue of Playboy would destroy the sales records for any printed material ever issued by a bajillion dollars.
  7. Good thing Sheets learned how to win in time for the game today. I'm sure it was that rather than the 12 runs of support.....
  8. It's official: Chris Duncan, Brewer killer.
  9. bobbledude- Have you (or anyone else) found a good way to display these? I have them in Pro-Mold holders like above, but I'm afraid those'll fall over if I just stand them upright. Any thoughts/ideas for what has or will work?
  10. Does Rick S know our manager's name is Ned Yost? I was just wondering the same thing..... he keeps referring to him as 'the manager of the Brewers.'
  11. You know, I understand that the Cardinals might be upset and unfocused at this point, but the announcers are almost saying it as if they're saying "Well, Milwaukee wouldn't be winning this game if the Cardinals weren't so upset and unfocused." This isn't 4 years ago, fellas. This Milwaukee team is actually capable of whomping on the cards regardless of the situation.
  12. Injury or call up seem to be the only viable explainations. Excluding trade, of course.
  13. Cappy's control has been pretty poor the last two starts, despite the win last time out.
  14. That I had to wait until the last weekend of April for the best weekend of the year.
  15. If you're not careful, you'll wake up tomorrow and find that you're on the Brewerfan staff. That's what happens to people who rock the boat too much, right hawing? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  16. The staff at LambeauLeap.net are pleased to announce the official launch of the main site! You may now access the main site at: www.lambeauleap.net/ And also by clicking on the LL logo at the top of each forum page. Thanks to Brian's efforts, we were able to launch the site prior to the draft. To go along with the launch, we are pleased to announce LL's coverage specifically for the draft. You can find our draft page at: www.lambeauleap.net/Draft/Default.aspx The coverage currently features a Pre-Draft Roundtable conducted with staff and some regular posters from the forums, and covers a wide-range of Draft-related topics and questions. Also, there are resources available to provide a history of the 16th draft pick, as well as a history of Ted Thompson's draft and a breakdown of his picks by position. On draft day, we'll be providing live coverage of each pick, updating our draft tracker at the right of the page for each round, and devoting special attention to players drafted from Wisconsin as well. We will also be updating each Packer pick or trade as it happens, providing links for each player along with profiles. And after numerous requests, a chat room has been added to the site, which can be accessed either through the main page or directly from the fan forums. The forums will be very active on draft day, with commentary and analysis from forum posters throughout the draft. As always, the forums can be directly accessed at: forum.lambeauleap.net/ We hope you'll join us for the draft this weekend, and hope you enjoy the site! And thanks go out anyone that contributed to the launch of the site. Go Pack! http://lambeauleap.net/Images/lambeauleap.png
  17. Thanks a lot for doing the leg work on that sdcheez!
  18. 262 visitors tonight, including 150 guests.
  19. Seriously, anyone know when the last time the Brewers were 6 over .500 was?
  20. Scott Eyre used to be a very good reliever before he got all Cubbed up.
  21. Does that happen with any other team's fans? I'm open to the idea that I notice it more with cub nation because their fans, as a group, are so irritating. But I don't notice it with other teams' fans. It happens in most places (including Milwaukee) on deep flys, well hit balls, etc even if they're caught. But Cub fans seriously explode into cheering anytime a ball leaves the infield.
  22. Of course Cubs fans deserve a season like that just for thinking that EVERY BALL hit into the outfield is a homerun....
  23. Does that really disturb you? Kind of, yeah. Mainly because Brewer baseball from 2001-2003 is a period that I'd strongly prefer to not be reminded of. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  24. These Cubs look disturbingly like the 2003 Brewers.
