  1. Bucksman, some of your statements are idiotic. Easy with the personal insults.
  2. So why does a pitcher get credit when he racks up 20 wins He shouldn't. It's a nice accomplishment/milestone, but it's completely inter-dependent on how his team performs around him. Sheets has compiled that record on some horrific Brewer teams. Gotta love the Brewers kool-aid drinkers on his board. Also have to love the people who come here solely to stir up trouble and post nothing but controversial, negative posts only when the team is losing.
  3. But how much could Helling have left anyhow? He hasn't been sharp as it is. He's only pitched two innings, so he should have a few left. And he's looked fine in those two.
  4. That is the absolutely only thing to do there, Stevo. Try to put down the bunt and save the pen as much as humanly possible.
  5. I'm still feeling the same way. Feeling good tonight about the team. Doesn't sound major for Ben..... probably will only miss a month or so.
  6. I swear we're all going to be manic-depressives before this season is over. So you've missed the first four months of the season on Brewerfan? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. Very important tonight for Doug not to give part of the lead back the half inning after getting it like he has for much of the year. Good job!
  8. He's a sinker baller, so with the way the Brewers hit pitchers like that, he'll be totally unhittable as the game goes on.
  9. Cincy losing 2-0 to Atlanta in the 6th. Go Houston later tonight!
  10. What, no comments on Eckstein's work ethic or blue collar approach to the game after botching a play that ended up costing his team 3 runs? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Sorry Daron, had to poke fun a little.
  11. I'm feeling good about this game for no apparent reason.
  12. And that ladies and gentlemen, is DLR in a nutshell. Shows signs of the pitcher he could potentially be in one outing, then looks like a deer in the headlights the next.
  13. Yeah, lets just keep trying to steal bases when this catcher has a cannon for an arm.
  14. I dont have to watch the game to know this team flat out sucks. SUCKS. SUCKS. I am glad I cannot watch this horrible display of "baseball." For Doug Melvin, Attanasio, Yost, or anyone else in the organization who spews the word playoffs from their butts one more time, I will explode. The day-to-day mood swings of the board are pretty interesting some times. Do you see the Cardinals pull this BS? No, they're just in the process of losing their sixth straight.
  15. Not a good outing for Inman tonight. Ford with SB number 51, though.
  16. Too bad all we could get for Lee was this Cordero guy, and some other players too.
  17. Has Gross even PH recently? Is he nursing an injury of some kind, because he's been MIA.
  18. Brian's sarcastic response was uncalled for in my opinion. What did I do wrong in this thread. Why can't I think the Bell acquistion is pivotal for this team's success. What is the big deal? As already discussed, the thread you started was a duplicate, and should have been posted in the Bell thread that already exists, and the predictions for his performance that evening belonged elsewhere aswell. Afterall, I completely agree that acquiring Bell will lead us to the playoffs, but instead of the wildcard, he'll help us overtake the Cardinals to win the Central, and then eventually beat the Mets 4-0 in the NLCS, and go on to win the World Series over the heavily favored Tigers, who will likely forfeit the Championship rather than to have to face the intimidating force that is David Bell. BTW, I also think your thread was outstanding, and couldn't have been better written or more well articulated if it had been posted by the likes of Jupiter or Zeus themselves.
  19. Yeah, Brian posted a link to his account in the chat room about a week ago that showed it as still active, so I imagine the 'active posters' thing only counts posters that have posted within a timeframe like 1992 said.
