  1. Pratt with 2 more runs given up in relief. He can't start, he can't come out of the bullpen, why is he still here?
  2. 1. Ari--Justin Upton 2. KC--Cameron Maybin 3. Sea--Alex Gordon 4. Was--Ryan Zimmerman 5. Mil--Ryan Braun You know, the more predictions and mocks that I see, the more convinced I am that something weird is going to happen in picks 1-4 that lets Gordon fall to us somehow. [When asked directly about the Brewers:] The latest names we've heard are Upton, Gordon, Zimmerman, Braun. Doesn't sound like they'll go for a Scott Boras client, which would rule out Pelfrey and Hochevar, who would be nice fits. Maybin is curiously not mentioned, considering that he's been widely predicted to be our pick.
  3. I was listening to the game at work tonight, and as soon as Glover gave up the tying single I said he was done. Yost was either asleep or disagreed with me, but Gary went on to give up 4 more runs and lose the game. I had it figured out 1500 miles away without even watching the game. Ned and Maddux were 100 feet away and couldn't figure it out.
  4. Wow... Pettitte leaves with 78 pitches in 6 innings and absolutely dealing. Can't say I get this move by Garner.
  5. That Branierd segment made me want to cry. "Remember kids, always ask your parents before taking candy from strangers. Hey kid, here's some licorice." Ugh.
  6. Just tuned in... and the kid cast is making me debate turning it back off...
  7. You know, the manic-depressive mood swings on this board are disturbing. We won four straight, fought hard tonight after getting down and at least made it close-ish. We can win the series tomorrow, behind red hot Capuano, and we got Sheets back tonight. Calm down and breathe.
  8. Weeks will be up sometime this year regardless. It won't (and shouldn't) be now though.
  9. Brady Clark: The Human Mental Lapse on the basepaths.
  10. I'd take a DP if it scores a run here...
  11. Jenks with two hits.... how dare he start vs. a lefty. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  12. Boy, if one bad pitch in the 1st costs Ben this win, it'll be a shame.
  13. No Bill Schroeder, there's no way that he would have caught that ball if he stayed on his feet.
  14. Walking Jenks to get to Lee? There's that Garner logic we know and love. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. Gotta admit, Sharpie did well today. Think he turned the corner? Turned the corner from what? You weren't happy with his complete game shutout in Minnesota? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Seriously, he's pitched real well for the last two games, but the walks are still a concern. de la Rosa is going to be a phenom if he can pitch efficiently. Anyone else think that Garner looks like he's in the midst of a heart-attack every time he's on camera?
  16. Wow... what a play by Hall on the 2B side of the bag....
  17. Ack. Jenks, you've got to call Junior off and take that ball, not pull up and hope he grabs it.
  18. Those last two pitches to Berkman were strikes.
  19. Gotta love it when you make the starter throw 30-40 pitches in the 1st.
  20. Pretty horrific outing for Housman tonight... Nashville keeping it fairly close, though at 4-7.
  21. Just wondering if it would be possible to compile Brewers' single-season and career records on the site (for hits, ERA, doubles, etc)? I think it would be interesting and useful if all of the records were listed here, especially since brewers.com seems to have taken down the link to their history section.
  22. So all the people here that were jynxing Oby's perfect game five days ago are remaining silent today or something? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  23. no mention of Drew or Weaver. Does anyone think either could be the pick? Nope. They said no Boras pitchers, so that means no Weaver, and I'd be surprized if they took Drew. If one or both did come back in, that could mean that one of the guys that should be taken ahead of us could fall to #5.
  24. Schroeder: "Good, aggressive baserunning, but ill-advised." Bah?
  25. I think he thought Ford wasn't going to try to score, since he jogged to third before finally starting to run.
