  1. Helms will be: 0-4 tonight. Nope.
  2. I can't seem to vote either.....
  3. and Gary Bennett? I'd just like to point out that at this point, if you take out Moeller's cycle game, our catchers have virtually identical numbers. Sure, Gary Bennett sucks, but at this point, Moeller does to, so playing time isn't that big of a worry for me at catcher.
  4. This Branyan guy is good. Tell me again how we get him for nothing?
  5. Remember back before the break when Sheets wasn't allowing HR's at an alarming rate?
  6. Ummm.... Bill, Corey's throw was dead on to the plate before being cut off and Overbay would have been very very out. Is Schroeder even watching the same game as us?
  7. Yost bashers should have absolutely nothing to criticize him for in this game... he's made great decisions.
  8. Nice research, Brettac. And a single for Helms.
  9. The Brewers will win this game.
  10. However, just because he is a good motivator doesn't mean that he is a good manager and that he should get a 'pass' for obvious blunders he makes in a game. I hate to tell you this, but if Yost is a bad manager and makes obvious blunders, then there are many of the "top" managers that are considerably worse than him. This year alone, Yost has out-managed Ron Gardenhire, Art Howe, Bob Melvin, and Dusty Baker, to name a few. Name me off a few managers that are noticably better at in-game managing than Yost. I think you'll find that there really aren't that many managers that are that much better.
  11. You deserve to lose when the tying run comes to the plate and you let Chris Magruder bat when Brooks Kieschnick and Ben Grieve are both sitting on the bench. Again, Grieve is hurt. A lot of good it would do to have him PH in that situation, eh? Our manager sucks, people. Simple as that. Like I said last night, which no one seemed eager to respond to: Pods is just emulating the manager. Oh really? What exactly did Ned do during the game tonight that made you think that he 'doesn't know what's going on out there?' I know you're a big Yost hater, but I honestly don't understand why. Yeah, the Helms love-fest is getting old, but I don't see why Ned continues to draw so much venom from the armchair managers on these boards.

  13. I'd like to thank the Brewers' defense for deciding to completely suck after the AS break...
  14. Mets announcer just said Branyan had a sore wrist. So any of the people that bashed the fact that he was out of the lineup feel like appologizing?
  15. With Sheets getting roughed up and Kolb blowing a save and we still win. Actually, Vizcaino blew the save.
  16. Not sure if this was posted anywhere else, but Robert alluded to this story in another thread: sports.espn.go.com/mlb/ne...id=1846135 Yipe.
  17. Anyone else think it's time to end the Matt Kinney experience in Milwaukee?
  18. Man, you know our offense sucks when Brady Clark is the only guy getting on base! Brady is now hitting .275 with nearly a .380 OBP... not sure what more you guys think he should be doing, because he's having a pretty decent season right now.
  19. Well, I don't think Hall would have made it back to that ball Peavey, unless you're talking about him being able to cover 2nd for a throw, but even then, it looked like Everett was going to be safe. Yeah, you're probably right.... not excusing Grieve at all, but it would have been close at 2nd.
  20. Well, in all truthfullness, it was only a double because Bill Hall fell on his butt....
  21. Maybe its time to let Moeller try catching Hendrickson....
  22. Hart 833 while he's in a slump.(according to Al & Peavey) On Thursday, July 8th, Hart was hitting .287. After Tuesday's game, he's hitting .274. I'd certainly classify a 13 point drop in BA over a bit less than two weeks as a slump..... but apparently you don't.....
  23. So has anyone else noticed Corey Hart's multi-week long slump?
  24. Why is Moeller batting? Who exactly should replace him? EDIT: Forgot about Erickson, my bad.
