  1. My previous post was sort of a vent. It would be nice if I could avoid negative posts/vents about Yost but they're everywhere. In every Brewers loss the IGT changes from a discussion of the game into the Yost bashing thread. Sure, there are many people that discuss managerial strategy in there criticism of Yost, but there are others who add nothing to the discussion and feel it necessary to add a "fire Yost" or "Yost is so stupid" comment at every opportunity.
  2. My bad, it was three. Villy did have 10 pitches, which is great. Leave it at that so he's available tomorrow, and use your less reliable relievers with a semi-comfortable lead.
  3. Villy has been outstanding, which is why you don't pitch him another inning. You don't burn out one of your best relievers with a four run lead. Mota should be able to hold a freaking four run lead.
  4. Yost can do no right. We get it.
  5. Yeah, we might have to add a little more to get Niemann, but even a slumping Hall would be an upgrade at SS for them. Jason Bartlett and his .581 OPS isn't going to cut it.
  6. The Rays could use a SS that can hit a lick as they try to hold off the rest of the AL East. Maybe they'd be interested in Hall. Hall and Cole Gillespie for Jeff Niemann?
  7. If Billy's going to pitch a fit about being placed in a platoon that was long overdue, ship him out. I'd be fine with a Dillon/Branyan platoon.
  8. Russell Branyan does not lead off. The base moves away from him.
  9. How about that one folks. Great Win!!!!
  10. Couple of Things: - I'd suggest looking into two year colleges. You might miss out on the full college experience for two years, but you can save a load of money. I was able to get a full tuition scholarship for two years with a 3.9 High School GPA and a 26 ACT score, so a scholarship would definitely be a possibility for you as well. - Take an advanced composition class in High School and take it seriously. This is excellent advice. Everyone and their mother is a Business major. The Engineering majors are few in number, but they normally have no problem getting jobs after graduation.

  12. Here's another bizarro stat courtesy of small samples: Avg vs. RHP Ben Sheets - .176 Bill Hall - .158
  13. I think the ump also has a man crush on Kapler.
  14. That's not one of the three outcomes we wanted Russ.
  15. Young is a switch hitter with better splits vs. righties. It was the correct move letting Shouse face him.
  16. Thats what I figured. Either Hardy complained about hitting in front of the pitcher or Kendall complained about hitting behind the pitcher.
  17. The problem with this team is that we're inconsistent and simply not that good right now. Just look at our pitching - Our rotation is comprised of one ace and a group of mediocre/inexperienced starters. Our bullpen is comprised of one reliable reliever (Solomon Torres), a good loogy (Shouse), two walk machines (Mota and Villanueva), and some recent call ups (Jackson, Dillard, DiFelice). And "lack of urgency", what does that even mean? Your points are completely contradictory - if they were content with losing there would be no reason for a tight atmosphere around the team. And I have no idea where you're seeing this "losers attitude." They were down six runs and battled back to tie it up. Sure, they lost the game, but they didn't quit. If the players had smiles on the faces all the time and ran out to their positions like little leaguers, it might give some of the fans warm fuzzy feelings in their tummies, but it would make no difference in the standings.
  18. Then who in our bullpen is 9th inning material? Torres and ? Ned doesn't really have a lot to work with.
  19. Billy Hall - What's it like, Russ? Russell Branyan - Making plays on defense? Outta sight, my man. Craig Counsell - No, the other thing - hitting home runs. Tony Gwynn - Yeah, what is that? Russell Branyan - Do you guys really want to know how to play ball? Tony Gwynn - More than anything in the world, Russ.
  20. Who is this person and what has he done with Seth McClung? 32 pitches in 3 innings, 22 of which were strikes.
  21. No thanks. He's a nice story but still walks too many people.
  22. I don't think its possible to burn Shouse out. Dude's got a rubber arm.
  23. Maybe BF.Net should stage a protest during the next home stand. A group of fans with FREE 3TO signs would be awesome. Seriously though, what the heck is Doug waiting for?
  24. Our next off day is June 5th. Saving our already thin bullpen is probably a good idea.
  25. Rickie's been starting to get things going at the plate lately.
