  1. Once again, comparing apples to oranges. I do think Branyan should be in there, but the difference between Branyan and Craig defensively is much greater than the difference between Kapler and Braun defensively. By how much? I really have no idea but I'd guess that it would be single percentage points or lower. Probably not worth complaining about every time it happens.
  2. That story was so stupid. Why would you waste everyone's time by posting it?
  3. Rickie has raised his average 9 points so far today.
  4. Except for the past two months of course.
  5. If Counsell is going to play for someone, JJ is probably the best choice considering that other than two hits yesterday he's been pretty abysmal lately.
  6. Note to wildlife: Don't poop on Wes Helms's lawn. Ned will find you.
  7. Five runs without a home run. I'm not watching the game, but I'd imagine Rock is grinning like an idiot right now.
  8. Coming from a Yost supporter, there is no reason Counsell should be starting over Branyan as much as he has been.
  9. 1. Gallardo 2. Hart 3. Braun 4. Villanueva 5. Turnbow (still in the organization, for now)
  10. Liriano's situation was completely different as it was an arm injury, not a knee injury.
  11. Yost's motivational skills have really improved that past two games. CC's a horse. Fielder is heating up nicely. Good win.
  12. CC staying on the bench. Probably a good idea considering the heat. Edit - Nevermind. I guess CC is just slow getting off the bench.
  13. I know it could potentially cripple the franchise, but I'd love the watch CC pitch for Milwaukee for another five years.
  14. Why bat a lefty here? Might as well just let Morton hit.
  15. CC barely made it out of the batter's box on the groundout. Bench Him.
  16. CC's pitching is worth watching itself. The bats will come.
  17. If we could get young pitching for him, I'd trade him in a heartbeat. Otherwise, I'd move him to second base. Green is still a few years away and might end up in Cleveland anyway.
  18. Rickie strikes again, but CC should have went to third there.
  19. I'm not sure what is achieved by assembling a list of self-proclaimed "statement games" and pointing out the team's failures in them. It's not hard to find other "statement games" (the recent series in St. Louis comes to mind) where the Brewers played very well. Well, we are doing just fine. Last night's barrage of Chuck James would appear to be an example of the team summoning up the best to stop a losing streak.
  20. It's not like we need to search long for things to be optimistic about, we're tired for the wildcard lead. And if anything, this series may have turned off some of the ever-annoying bandwagoners.
  21. Can you DL someone for recurring brain farts?
  22. I believe it's real. Just not in baseball. Now football and basketball are a much different story.
  23. There isn't much difference between a 7-2 game and a 7-3 game. I'm by no means saying it was a good move. It wasn't. If anything it shows that even a blatantly wrong move by the manager can have little to no impact on the outcome of the game. Would you have said the same thing a week ago? I doubt it. I don't see why people can't grasp the concept of hills and valleys throughout the season. Every teams goes through hot streaks and slumps. We've been bad the past few games, but I'll bet you a buffalo nickel it won't stay that way.
