    It's nice to see Jeffress hitting high on the gun but can he pitch? Colt Griffin could get it up there but there wasn't much else. Is there any scouting report on his strengths and weaknesses?

    Encouraging to see Jones finally starting again. Expectations for him? I would just like to see him pitch the rest of the year without getting hurt. If he does that I think that's a success.

    The kid taking his lumps early in his career. Must be tough to be 16 and on your own. On a side note when does Gallardo get called up? I'm saying when Okha or Sheets gets hurt again they bring him up. I know it seemed unrealistic at the beginning of the year but now at AA, he's just as close as hendrickson or eveland.

    The most important part of this game is how Helling feels tomorrow morning. We need him for the long haul. I'm not looking at the wild card standings until the Brewers are 5 games above .500. I'm not getting sucked in to that until they prove to be reliable. We should have a meter running for the number of consecutive games Weeks has gone without an error. The "Week-o-meter"? Just random thoughts.

    I think we need a nickname for Villanueva Maybe I'm alone on this but I don't expect Sheets to pitch again this year. I'm going the pessimistic route.

    My eyes are hurting, is that Jenkins I see batting #3? I would love to see the #3 hitters in MLB and their slugging %. Nobody can be lower that Jenks. What's he slugging? .400?

    Reading it on this board is the first time I have ever heard that an intentional walk can lead to command problems. Is this true?

    I hate to be Captain Obvious, but if Yost has to work strategy around whether JDLR will lose command because he has to walk someone intenionally, then maybe JDLR just isn't good enough to be pitching. I know some people really like JDLR because he has electric stuff, and I know a lot people are more knowlegdable than me, but I just don't think he is a major league pitcher.

    Looking for something positive: just remember this is not 1999, the Brewers are better, they may not have the pitching right now but to me its really exciting to watch a lineup with Weeks, Lee, Hall, and Fielder instead of a lineup featuring Burnitz, Nilsson, Meiske and Valentin. When everything is said and done they will have a successful season. If this was '99 then we would lose somwhere in the neighborhood of about 15 out of the next 20 games, that will not happen this year. I like the fact, yes I said it, I like the fact that we got swept because know the team gets to see if it really is better than past years. If they are better as most of us beileve it will only make them tougher mentally and thus they will rebound.
