    It’s not that he can’t pitch when he’s right. It’s that he’s the absolute worst pitcher at handling even the slightest bit of adversity that I’ve ever seen.

    If we were talking about Jackson Chourio or Brice Turang, I’d agree with this 100%. People talk about Sal like he was this hugely important cog to us before this season. Sal had a really nice 2025. Other than that, it’s been mostly meh. He has one season over a 93 wRC+. That's the same as Joey Ortiz. He’s average defensively. Nothing you covet for late defensive replacements. He hasn’t had a career that makes him immune to an option.

    Okay. So why is this a better solution to have a platoon outfielder that isn’t particularly solid at any one thing that makes him a good bench player, rather than just giving Vaughn his extra starts against RHP and letting him play 10 games out of 10 in Nashville instead of 5 so he can work through the reasons that he sucks this year?

    You don’t have to give up on him. You also don’t need to let him hurt you in the lineup every day. He has options. Why not let him work through his issues every day in Nashville?

    He actually painted the corners pretty well in in that last AB. He’s just not getting the calls on the edges.

    Manzardo took 4 strikes that AB and walked. You GOTTA help him out, William. Gasser isn’t good enough to get bad breaks too.

    This is the only thing that makes sense to me. They were going to IL him after the game and he didn’t feel the injury warranted going on the IL so he basically just asked them to move on instead in hopes that he can catch on elsewhere rather than just sit and not play for the next couple weeks. I don’t see the Brewers of all teams just suddenly deciding during a game that they’re done with a guy.

    Fischer is the only one that would really hurt IMO. Even though he is technically a higher “rated” prospect, I’d rather deal Jett.

    I don’t think that’s happening for a long, long time. I really hope not, anyway. Doing away with something that is a long engrained part of Brewer culture itself, even if it isn’t profitable, is a dangerous step.

    Sounds awesome if you’re crazy about the Brewers, alcoholic, and rich. Well, at least I’ve got 2 out of 3.
