  1. Other teams don't shoot themselves in the foot? I don't really care about what other teams do, since I'm a fan of the Brewers.
  2. Good decision by Shaw. Fortunate to only allow 1. Hopefully that shouldn't hold up against Bailey.
  3. Just hand it to them on an error and 2 walks. Fantastic.
  4. Followed by a walk. Just vintage Brewers shooting ourselves in the foot.
  5. And here we go... Give me a break, Arcia. There was no chance of turning 2.
  6. Come on guys. It's Homer Bailey. Let's get something going. This series is one of those that I automatically expect to be let down after a big uplifting home series winning 3 out of 4 against a top team. I don't want to feel that way, just been a Brewer fan for too long to not hope for the best but expect the worst, I guess.
  7. I have no problem with Santana tried at 1st, but for some reason I feel he may be traded in the off-season. Feel like if Braun was going to be tried there it would have happened this last off-season. Thames/Aguilar should be worth about 3 WAR a year as a platoon going forward. For under 7M a year, we can live with that.
  8. If by pretty crappy 5 hopper you mean a perfectly placed 2 hopper with some velocity than yeah I agree. I won't argue the placement but I'll have to watch is again about the hops. There's no way that was only a 2 hopper. It was, they showed the replay at the beginning of the inning. That was probably about as good of a throw as Hamilton could muster within his abilities.
  9. How the heck does Walker not score on that Braun single to right from 2nd? Disappointing inning.
  10. Yeah, the state of our pitching is really something to be excited about. Even Hader, yeah, he blew it, and it sucks. But I can't be too upset because he's been so good. Can't expect him to be perfect.
  11. Or Santana. Thames. Just somebody get hot. Good work Domingo.
  12. Stating the obvious, but if Braun and Shaw don't get it going this month, we're likely not playing October baseball.
  13. After missing 2 months there should be no need to limit Woodruff's innings. He threw 158 last year and is just over 100 right now.
  14. Man, we'd have a chance to pass the Rockies today if we had won last night. :/ Damn. But we're going to have more chances. Looks like the Cubs might run away with the Central and the D'Backs with WC1. Might end up being a 2 horse race with the Rockies and us for the last spot.
  15. No one said we weren't but yeah I think we're down to a 5% chance or so of winning the division.
  16. Second freaking time we've seen this this season. Have a matchup with a Cy Young thinking it's going to be a loss, have a late lead, and blow it. First time was against Kershaw. By the way, can this offense EVER come up with a big 9th inning rally? Like even one time this season? My freaking goodness.
  17. Now this would be a fantastic spot for Santana, but we just had to pull Broxton for him with no one on in the 8th for some weird reason.
  18. Broxton has 20 HR this year and walked last time up, and he's had a hot August. Is it really necessary to replace him in 1 run games at the plate like he's a pitcher?
  19. (*Sigh*) http://m.brewers.mlb.com/roster/transactions/2017/06 Didn't realize that was announced. I guess she didn't make it through the surgery. Sad. That's not true, thankfully. It may be a tough road for her and family but she's still with us. Bereavement leave for MLB does not necessarily imply death.
  20. Maybe he would have . I really don't know . I just don't know how people were assuming he would. I'm glad we didn't try to outbid that package from Houston either way.
  21. 'After the Tigers and Astros agreed on a deal, Verlander initially refused to waive his no-trade rights, Jon Morosi of MLB.com writes. Verlander wasn’t opposed to joining the Astros, but first he wanted to see if he could go to the Cubs, since he and fiancée Kate Upton like the city of Chicago. (Verlander was also interested in the Dodgers, although they weren’t actively involved in talks.) When it turned out the Tigers felt the Cubs weren’t offering enough value in a potential deal, Verlander signed off on the trade that would send him to the Astros.' [sarcasm]Yeah, sounds like he was right on the cusp of waiving his NTC to come to Milwaukee.[/sarcasm]
