  1. 9th inning saves are literally a guarantee against the Brewers. Still 0fer on the year trailing after 8. The reputation they have for always fighting and grinding til the end is kind of silly.
  2. Literally about the exact type of AB I expected from Perez in that situation. Take 2 big hacks, pop the second one up about 15 feet.
  3. You've also got a runner in Broxton who is over 80% successful in steals for his career. Works both ways.
  4. Not really. If he gets thrown out we have arcia, pinch hitter, and villar... And if he makes it the tying run is in scoring position. Waiting for runs to happen on their own hasn't worked well for us lately. Molina is good, but not as elite as he once was throwing out runners.
  5. This is why you don't treat a relief situation in the 6th inning like garbage time in a close game.
  6. Really? Sogard has been equally brutal lately. Maybe worse. Sogard works the count and doesn't try to hit a HR every swing. With that said, Villar got robbed there Can't believe Hernan got thrown out on that. Figured he would have been standing on 2nd when the throw got there. Infield single for Villar if the bases are empty.
  7. Really? Sogard has been equally brutal lately. Maybe worse.
  8. Now that we gave up 5 we'll rally for a few. 5-4 final sounds about right.
  9. They've been breaking our hearts for almost 50 years. They just find new ways every so often. No real reason to think this season was going to be any different.
  10. A few runs this inning? I hope you are right, but a few runs a GAME seems to be asking too much lately.
  11. It's hard to blame people for feeling negative. The offense has completely disappeared since the AS break and the team has gone from 5.5 up in the division to very doubtful for the playoffs. It's frustrating, no doubt.
  12. Thats absolutely what they should have done, you've got a nine man bullpen right now, cant give away outs with this offense. Hope it was worth it for Craig getting that one additional out from his starter.
  13. There's a part of me that wanted to see them just pull Suter last inning and take a shot with Aguilar with 1st and 2nd. You just don't know with his offense when you'll get another shot.
  14. 3 runs should be more than enough with the offense on our side. Of course it has to be Yadier freaking Molina that kills us today.
  15. Sogard and Villar are basically interchangeable at this point. We just don't have a 2nd baseman. Why they both lead off is pretty weird.
  16. Well, at least he put it in play and something good happened.
