Didn't see where Gameday had it but it looked pretty inside to me. I remember when it was thrown thinking Bandy did a good job of framing it and making it look better than it was.

I know he's only at 91 pitches and it's another short start, but please just PH for Davies this inning rather than sending him back out just to labor through 2 more hitters and get pulled anyway. He clearly has nothing tonight.

That 'behind home plate' camera angle is bad enough for one pitch without showing it for an entire AB, Fox Sports.

I haven't been seeing many games lately so I don't share your eye test, but Thames has a 1.144 OPS in the past week. Wow, shows how much I've been paying attention.

Another terrible 0-2 pitch. Just hoping Davies can survive a few innings at this point if he can't suddenly turn it around.

Davies gets up 0-2 and beans the leadoff guy.

Thames just doesn't seem to be seeing it well right now at all. The fact that his OPS is still well over 1.000 is a testament to how good he was early this year because he doesn't seem to have much lately.

I guess I don't know why you're so down on Garza? He's been a very good pitcher in this league when healthy. Unless maybe you think he will get hurt again. I have a hard time trusting a veteran that hasn't really has any sustained success in 3 years. Maybe he can have a big rebound year, I don't know, but I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hope to be wrong of course.

Believe they were saying earlier that Davies hasn't gotten through the 6th even once this year. Doesn't look like today will be the first.

We really need Guerra back . This rotation just isn't good. It's basically just a collection of back-end starters. Garza has been great but it's been 3 starts. I don't trust it to last.

Really? Pitcher up and no infield in with 1 out? Can't believe they weren't at least playing halfway.

We get CrapZach on the hill tonight. Fastballs are right down the middle, offspeed is nowhere close.

Hopefully Davies settles in, but he looks bad early. Could see him getting out of this, or the Mets blowing it open early here if he keeps pitching like this.
