  1. Does any MLB team have to deal with as many pre-game ouchies as we do?
  2. Brewcrewdue80, I definitely never said we have a better option than Segura. We don't, and Bianchi definitely shouldn't start over him. I'm a big fan of Segura -- I own a Segura jersey and loved him coming up. I am frustrated that our SS of the future who looked like a perennial All-Star a year ago is OPS'ing less than .590. That's not an acceptable offensive level for an everyday starter and it's been going on for more than a year now.
  3. I do not expect this team to hold on and win the division if they continue to get owned by the Cardinals and Reds.
  4. Gee, Segura hits a weak grounder to short. Who would've thought?
  5. Ranking potential bullpen options the rest of the way: 1) Smith 2) Duke 3) K-Rod 4) Gorzellany 5) Wooten 6) Maldonado 7) Overbay 8) Kintzler 9) Bianchi 10) Roenicke 11) Wang
  6. Just Brewers Bullpen vs. Reds Bullpen for the series now.
  7. I have to admit I had zero expectations of Rickie coming through there.
  8. Awesome job to pop up Ball 4 and the potential tying run, Lyle.
  9. Best chance coming now. Heart of the order in the 7th. If you're down going into the 9th it's probably over.
  10. I get why pitchers don't always go 100% on groundballs to first. I even get Ramirez, to a point. He's got knee issues and he plays everyday. At his age and with as much as he plays, he can't go all out all the time. But Segura? You're 24 and you're a big time speed threat on the bases when you get on. Even a slight bobble and you should be able to reach. You're OPS'ing under .600. It's ridiculous that we should ever see you jogging down the line.
  11. Preach a culture of being overly aggressive, and your players aren't going to draw a line in the sand. If they're in doubt, they'll be aggressive, even to the point of being stupid.
  12. I don't have a stat on this, but it sure feels like we lead the league in "opposing pitchers taking a perfect game into the 4th inning."
  13. Bring a glove to the game and can't catch with it? That's embarrassing.
  14. The "wildly hack at everything" approach isn't working much, guys. Maybe try something else.
  15. I thought Wang was going on the DL with arm soreness after 90 days.
  16. Classic hanger and Luc can't touch it. Just not happening tonight.
  17. Normally I'm all about sending a guy down to work on stuff, but in this case, what's the point? Segura at his worst is still better than Bianchi at his best. Would be a different story if we still had a Jerry Hairston, but lacking that, we may as well let him work it out here rather than Nashville just for lack of a better option.
  18. I would think (hope) that any player with an OBP within about 30 points of their batting average at mid-season is aware that they are swinging too much out of the zone.
