  1. Counterpoint- we are Brewer fans, and Wisconsin sports fans
  2. Obviously gotta give him credit for Bauers, but other than that, there was no need after the first 2 games for the big lineup shakeup with Yelich leading off, Turang batting 3rd, etc. You had a working formula from the first two games and completely went in a different direction and scored 3 runs. Lockridge has like a .550 lifetime OPS. It just didn’t make any sense 3 hours ago to get him a start and doesn’t make any more sense now.
  3. The 8th was a great shot. We had multiple shots to get to Taillon. I’m trying to feel confident that it’s still fine, but I’ve got that nagging doubt in the back of my mind from years of watching this team play in October.
  4. They’re going to think about this one all offseason if they lose the next two games.
  5. I’ll have Danny Jansen play shortstop if it gets us to the 10th.
  6. Going to go down quietly, it appears.
  7. Man, I would definitely had Vaughn hit, but for Perkins, not Mona. I just don’t get it.
  8. We should still win this series regardless of what happens today, but I’ve been a Brewer fan long enough to know that jumping out to a 2-0 series lead and then catastrophically choking away the next 3 games against the most hated team against our most hated manager is well within the range of possible outcomes.
  9. So disappointing, so many chances today to steal this thing. That inning is squarely on Brice Turang. You’re one of the stars of the team, and you’re in a huge spot. You can’t have that non-competitive of an AB.
  10. Monumentally disappointed with Turang this entire series, but especially that AB.
  11. Meat of the order in the 8th. This is going to be our best chance.
  12. Strike 4, stupid ump. Try not calling that one.
  13. Man this one is going to hurt to drop 4-3.
  14. I don’t really get it though… his kid is … fine, right ? He has an infant at home. He didn’t have a bereavement absence.
  15. I won’t be questioning his absence from the lineup anymore.
  16. I can’t believe he even donated to the site to convince everyone that he’s a Brewer fan. Now that’s dedication to the troll job.
  17. I’ll be irritated if we lose today regardless, FWIW.
  18. I mean the opportunity is there to steal this game, but guys like Turang need to get it going already, and for the love of God stop giving away outs when you’re rallying.
  19. If they somehow come back to win, Anderson not losing Suzuki on 3-2 and striking him out instead of 1st and 2nd nobody out will be a lowkey pivotal moment of the game.
  20. Taillon’s stuff might have been the most hittable of anyone we’re going to see today. We kind of missed our chance there.
  21. Inherently that is the problem with bunting. Teams (and fans) treat it like the execution is a given (“just bunt him over to 3rd”!) when the reality is not nearly that simple. In most cases one of the “best” case scenarios still results in you sacrificing an out for some other marginally good outcome. It’s just not the good baseball play that it was once thought to be.
  22. It’s backfired on every playoff team that’s tried it in a big spot this playoffs. Yet here they keep doing it because, small ball, yay.
  23. Murphy 100% payed dearly for his lineup decisions in that inning.
