  1. Even when Rengifo manages to accidentally walk into something positive it’s a weak ass groundout RBI or something like that.
  2. About the start from Sproat that one would expect in Denver. Or any other city.
  3. Benched on orders up from Murphy to troll the “free Lara” crowd.
  4. I really hope Yoho can figure it out this time. Obviously his previous trips up have not gone well. I don’t like to use the expression “the lights are too bright” but I wonder if that has been the case because you’re talking about a jump from 2.5 BB/9 to over a walk an inning. It’s obviously not a question of his ability or stuff.
  5. Woodford DFA, Hall to IL, Yoho and Fitz up. Blake Perkins and Luis Rengifo, still here
  6. I’ve never been known for having a big brain.
  7. I mean it’s not like any of the three options I listed are implausible.
  8. Lara is either banged up, imminently on his way to Milwaukee or part of trade conversations. There’s zero other reason that he wouldn’t be in the lineup again.
  9. Yeah, maybe. But it also makes me believe that a DFA isn’t imminent.
  10. It’s a little bit of a tough question for me because everything depends on what we could actually get. Like Made would normally be “untouchable” for me but then if you told me that Bobby Witt was available then Made is certainly on the table. Pratt too is someone I’d be willing to trade given the depth on the farm in the middle infield spots, and it’s not like his contract makes him untradeable but it just doesn’t make realistic sense since they clearly did it with the vision of him being a part of their future. In a vacuum — I’d say Jett and Bishop. Maybe Fischer. I know everyone loves Fischer and I do too but I’m trying to balance keeping who I like with getting the most impact in return.
  11. “(Jake Woodford) is willing to take the ball at any time.” Is that a threat?
  12. Murphy on Woodford: for as good of a manager as he is, he will sure go out of his way to defend every pile of garbage on the roster.
  13. Neither can Crow, so no point in keeping him around either. Yoho should be up for sure and probably Fitz. Just rip off the bandaid with Woodford, it did not work out. So I’m not sure who the best candidate is to take his spot on the 40 and 26, if any right now. A trade would probably be the best option.
  14. In hindsight, white flagging your way to 12 runs allowed with a fresh pen was a pretty piss poor idea.
  15. Only shot Blake had was to stand there with the bat on his shoulders for the entire AB and pray for a lack of command and that’s exactly what he did.
  16. So Woodford finally has a game that would get him DFAed but we had two pitcher injuries so he’s going to be safe. yuck.
  17. Woodford, Perkins, and Rengifo could all be DFAed tomorrow with no adverse effects to the roster. Disappointing series. Changes are welcome in the next 28 hours til next game,
  18. Getting completely owned by a garbage baller like Houser.
  19. Rengifo is not the guy you want up in a big situation. We are finally paying a price for having bad players on our roster this series.
  20. I’m okay if we need to have a little bit of a bad stretch. The organization has been largely complacent just standing pat on everything, even the weaknesses, because the wins have still come. It’s been clear that some roster upgrades have been needed at the lower spots on the 26 and maybe a few losses will give them some motivation.
  21. We don’t have any starters to trust at all after Miz and Harrison. Crow has done a nice job but it was never a super sustainable thing.
  22. I rarely advocate for a splash move, but this team could probably use Skubal more than any other contender. Not only would be a huge needle mover for the playoffs but it would make a big difference for the season once he’s healthy. Currently they have Miz and Harrison and then they just cobble together crap for the other three spots and hope to score. That’s the current rotation.
  23. Nothing. He looks like Eric Thames except instead of having the actual power of Eric Thames he has the power of Joey Ortiz.
  24. Predictable results from the bottom of the order.
