  1. Yeah, he didn’t even pitch, and he’s hurt again? Seems like it was a little premature to activate him off the 60 if he wasn’t ready. Now the entire clock starts again.
  2. Hopefully nothing more than loading the lineup with lefties against Webb who has some pretty strong platoon splits especially this season. Can’t argue with either of Bauers or Mitchell the way they’ve been swinging the bats. Frelick over Chourio is a little more iffy but he’s had a nice last couple games that he can hopefully keep going and build on.
  3. Hopefully everyone else knows this by now too but he’s literally nothing more than Step 1 - Have no insider information at all Step 2 - Take something that is currently speculated and plausible and announce it to be fact as breaking news Step 3 - Blast your 5% success rate as proof of your sources while ignoring your 95% failure rate. The worst of Twitter/X.
  4. Yep. The 40 man roster thing is understated. The Brewers value flexibility greatly. Yes, it’s true that Woodford can and probably will be expendable on the 40 or some point, but it would be a little shortsighted for the next man up to be burned on a spot starter that doesn’t really need to be up yet. Then you end up needing another spot later and now you have to make a decision far unnecessarily early on Hardin if it doesn’t work out. Gasser is the correct, albeit unexciting choice. I like Henderson as definitely more than a AAA/MLB shuttle guy but Crow and Gasser are fine for that role while we wait for Henderson, Woodruff and Priester to get healthy. We don’t need another one occupying the 40 at this point.
  5. Well, hopefully we can bring the bats tonight. Webb has historically been one of the best pitchers in the league. Not so much this year. We will see.
  6. I am very confident that sometime in the offseason, with a full season of data now on hand, someone from the Brewer analytics department will be digging through ABS with a fine tooth comb to find out where we are most inefficient and what needs to be done to improve.
  7. Brutal, brutal AB by Hamilton. Why even bother sac bunting in front of someone like Hamilton who is unlikely to even hit a deep fly if you aren’t going to PH for him?
  8. Mitchell has been lowkey pretty good lately. Bring those K’s down a bit and continue to stay healthy and there’s no reason he shouldn’t play every day. A .350 OBP will play.
  9. Uribe was not good tonight, but gotta do the little things right like challenge when it’s an obvious challenge. *cough* Sal *cough*
  10. Good grief Uribe. You wanna just get that last out sometime or just blow the game entirely first?
  11. Man this is not good. I really had hoped it was just a one off thing. It really seems like there may be a chronic problem.
  12. Just skip Bikoxi or he’ll be rained out every day and never play again.
  13. No, he is making 182 million dollars to play baseball in San Francisco. We offered him 1 year and 20 million dollars. I am sure he is at peace with it.
  14. Who wanted Jake Bauers DFAed at at least one point in the last couple years? (Me raises hand meekly)
  15. C’mon Brice… gotta at least try to put it in play with runners on.
  16. On the radio they made it sound like Yelich looked out.
  17. Well, given his splits, might not be the worst idea.
  18. Speaking of Perkins I saw he batted righty in the 8th last night against the righty. Wonder if he’s going to get away from switch hitting.
  19. I mean you should be able to get Benson cheap right now and if it ends up being strictly a depth move that is totally fine too. It’s not like we couldn’t use it even if Jacobs plays all season. Can’t imagine the Cardinals can ask for much more than a 6th. He’s buried on their depth chart.
  20. If we get Sweat, it would be a shame to not get Trey Benson as well. Makes a crazy amount of sense for both sides.
  21. I’m not solely talking for the Brewers’ benefit. I think it would be at least as much for Perkins’ own benefit,
  22. I honestly think he just needs a fresh start somewhere else.
