  1. I agree that I wouldn’t have Joey leading off. There are many other better options, than him or Yelich, however.
  2. That may be the worst at-bat ever. Vaughn struck out twice and then grounded into a double play.
  3. I love what Mitchell has done lately, but you absolutely cannot be guessing with two strikes with the bases loaded and nobody out. You’ve got to shorten up and at least look to put the ball in play.
  4. He has a .319 OBP in his last 15 games and .299 in his last 30. I bet I can make a certain stat for any player in the lineup look impressive if I can cherry pick the referenced time frame.
  5. I am really really glad that in MLB these days, we can fix bad calls.
  6. Any prospect is tradeable depending on the return. Including Made. Sometimes it pushes the boundaries of what would be realistic to deal a guy. Are you not dealing Made if the Royals offered Bobby Witt straight up? I love Made. I’d be the first celebrating if we signed him to a 10 year deal tomorrow. He, like any other prospect, isn’t bust proof. His performance in Biloxi, while impressive, isn’t so eye poppingly good that you want to rush him up tomorrow (nor should that be expected at this age and level). There have been many top prospects like Made that have come and gone in MLB. Some turned into superstars. Some became busts. Most, which is a category Made is probably the most likely to eventual fall into, have good careers as good players.
  7. Bauers and Pratt both had great pitches to hit. Terrible ABs.
  8. Thanks again, Sanchez. And thanks Murphy for never doing anything about it.
  9. I just don’t think Sproat is ever going to be much.
  10. Yes. I’m just saying, no one should necessarily be alarmed and assume any injury if he goes a couple weeks without pitching or has outings cut short at 4 at this point in the season.
  11. Yeah, I don’t think he’s hurt. Murphy even said he could have gone longer last night. He’s not injured. He just is slightly off right now compared to his usual self which happens to every pitcher throughout the course of a season. With that said, he can be healthy and we still have to figure out a plan for managing his innings whether that be skipping starts, shutting him down for a bit, etc. He needs to be pitching effectively in October. Just because he’s healthy right now doesn’t necessarily mean he should take the ball every 5-6 days as long as he’s healthy.
  12. I hope they have a plan for Miz down the stretch, and the only real focus of the plan should be to have him healthy and effective in October. I don’t care if they have to shut him down for a month and then start ramping him up again in late August. Believe me, it would be great to have Miz regularly for the next two months, but we can win the division and a top 2 seed without him. We can’t accomplish our loftiest playoff goals without him.
  13. Unreal. To be fair, at least he is really really good.
  14. I think you are far too smart of a stat guy to even imply that the Brewers’ record since Yelich started leading off is somehow correlated in any way to Yelich’s mediocre performance.
  15. Brewer fans: “good news about Frelick going down is that we no longer have to worry about Lara getting playing time.” Murphy: “Hold my beer”
  16. I bet you also don’t think Hillary Swank is hot.
  17. In my lifetime it was a normal thing for a woman to run out onto the field during games and kiss a random player on the lips. That seems wild now.
  18. Cubs gotta be frustrated. We fell behind in every game, they had a really good series against the Twins and pounded them today and not only did they not make up any ground, they actually fell back a game.
  19. First : “WOOO!!” second, how do the Marlins have a closer with a 7.42 ERA and he is STILL their closer? 🤣
