  1. Hmmm one more inning for Sheets? I know he's on a pitch count, which sucks because he's throwing so well right now, and our bullpen is, well, not so good.
  2. This is why I don't start heaping praise and signing Hallelujah's on the offense when they score 12 runs in game. Because the next night, they usually go lay a stinker like this. Offense looks atrocious versus Snell. Yes, Ian Snell. Better get it together.
  3. Nice, quick inning, just what the doctor ordered.
  4. Good grief Barnwell. You know this is the last game you'll ever play for the Brewers, right? At least have some pride and TRY to HIT the ball.
  5. Is anyone watching on TV? Does Sheets really look bad? Throwing in the 80's, really??? Yeesh...that's a bit worrisome. No point in him even returning if he can't pitch like Ben Sheets.
  6. That's more like it...have a seat, Burnitz... Okay, let's get some runs in the 3rd....we got Miller, um, Barnwell, and uh, Sheets coming up. Okay, let's get some runs in the 4th!
  7. Apparently our bats have not forgotten who is on the mound and are preparing to go into MIA mode as is the tradition.
  8. Well, hopefully this means that we can finally end the Chris Barnwell experiment.
  9. Okay...I think I am going to make things easier on me and just assume losses in every game for the rest of the season.
  10. See this is why people need to start following our example and getting themselves a retractable roof!!!
  11. Turnbow is done. He will not close our next game, I am almost willing to guarantee it.
  12. Rah, rah!! Turnbow, Turnbow, he's our man! If he can't do it, no one can!
  13. Leadoff hit. I have no idea what Turnbow's WHIP is this year, but it can't be pretty. EDIT: 1.42. OUCH.
  14. This is judgement day for Turnbow. If he fails today, I believe he loses the closer job -- at least temporarily.
  15. Huh? No, I didn't hear that. Did the Scrubbies change a bunch of his hits given up to errors to increase his trade value, or what?
  16. We're probably going to see Turnbow pretty soon. So your guess is as good as mine.
  17. Why would we trade Bush? He's been pretty good this season.
  18. Right on.... Starters: 1) Capuano 2) Maddux (trade) 3) Zack Jack 4) Villanueva 5) Eveland Pen: LR - Davis MR - Okha MR - Capellan SU - Shouse SU - Bush CP - Sheets I like it!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  19. Is Davis trying to nibble his way to another loss?
  20. I never said dump him for whatever. I never even said not to bring him back next season. Offer him arby next year then let him walk. And he's been our 3rd best pitcher if you are talking about starters only. And since only 3 starters have pitched the whole season, and the other two have been replaced by AA and AAA pitchers, that's not saying much.
  21. Okay, why did Davis lead off the inning when he's probably going to be yanked after one out in the 7th anyway? Hopefully I'm wrong. EDIT: Yep. Was that one runner and one out really worth not PHing for Davis in the top of the inning?
  22. Okay. Luckily, we have a lights out bullpen to handle the last 3 innings.
  23. Obviously I'm not talking about 2007, but long-term he is probably the best pitching prospect we have.
  24. Really? Tonight's game will probably put him around 4.00 ERA since the start of June. And that's been his best run of the year. He's over 30. You're really interested in looking at an expensive, long-term extension for someone like that?
  25. Well, we have Zack Jack, Eveland, and Villy possibly contending for spots in the rotation next year. We have Rogers in the future. And Bush may be a keeper. I know we were in talks with Davis over a long-term extension before the season, but I think it may be time to call that off.
