  1. That was as poor of a defensive drive as you’ll see. Poor coverage in the secondary, no pass rush.
  2. 3 yards? Best case scenario is 7, worst is the Vikings are buried in field position at their own 3.
  3. We need to find ways to be a little more efficient in the red zone and not have to settle for FGs like that.
  4. That was kind of a puzzling decision. I go for that field position on 4th and three 9 times out of 10. Thanks for the ball at midfield I guess.
  5. Thought Nixon was burned for sure.
  6. Way too much time. Doesn’t matter how good your coverage is when your pass rush is that bad.
  7. Had good offensive rhythm on the first drive. Not so much on that one.
  8. It will if Washington wins their last two and our playoff road begins with a trip to Philly.
  9. Wouldn’t be a big game if we didn’t start it out with a self-inflicted wound.
  10. I didn’t think it was that egregious on the clock management. I know the announcers were making a huge deal out of it but they were wrong that the Bengals could have run it down to 15-20 seconds. It was more like 45-50 because they had their timeout back. Chase Brown getting hurt on the goal line play and having to burn a timeout when they were trying to burn the Broncos timeout really hurt them. So they could have run it all the way down or at least run another couple plays to burn more clock and burn the timeout, but then the lead is only 3 instead of 7 and they’re still going to get a chance to tie it.
  11. I see that the Bears clock management in the 2 minute drill is no better post-Eberflus. Also, in this day and age, if 57 yards is out of your kicker’s range to at least attempt to tie a game over a 4th and 10, you need a new kicker.
  12. How are the Bears this terrible? They clearly aren’t a completely talentless roster.
  13. Punting on 4th and 2 from Baltimore’s 40 trailing by 2 TDs? Really, Texans?
  14. If nobody wants to face us and we can beat anyone anywhere, we should be able to go into Minnesota and win, no? And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with desiring a more favorable draw. We can think we are as good as we want, but the logical reality is that going into Philly, Minnesota and Detroit and winning 3 games in a row is a really tall order no matter how we are playing. That’s not just a skill versus skill to win all 3 of those. There’s some luck involved too. Even when we won if all, our draw wasn’t terribly difficult. The Bears were a really weak 2 seed that we were favored on the road against and Philly was a pretty even matchup. Atlanta was the only really tough test. This year’s NFC field is so much better than that one was.
  15. Washington will own the tiebreaker over us if they win out and we split our remaining tow games. With two much more winnable games against either the NFC West or South champs, I think a first round matchup in Philly is something we’d certainly be wise to avoid.
  16. What a garbage roughing the passer call.
  17. The guys wearing the Guardian caps resemble peewee football players to me because of the massive change in head to body ratio.
  18. If you want the free play, then stop jumping and pointing when they jump.
  19. The constant special teams penalties when there isn’t even a return is on coaching. Insanity.
  20. Not to look ahead too much, but if we don’t win in Minnesota next week, it is a mathematical likelihood that we will drop to the 7 seed. Washington will be favored against Atlanta and Dallas in each of their last two games. Should both teams finish 12-5, the tiebreaker will go to Washington on conference record for the 6 seed. What's really wild about this is this particular season, under the old playoff format before expansion, a 12 win team would have been potentially left out.
  21. I advocate more for the crazy crap that Dan Campbell does more than most people do because I see coaches do the same dumb conservative crap on a weekly basis that Sean Payton just did for Denver — punt with 4:30 left from midfield down 3, and just literally punt away your final shot.
  22. I'm sure not everybody is this way, but if I’m LeBron, Giannis, or Lillard or another guy who doesn’t really need the money, my biggest motivation is winning that money for my teammates who make much less and that’s a pretty big motivator.
  23. My first thought on passing on the champagne was that the league probably preferred that they didn’t do that because the optics of that are that this is less of a big deal than they want it to be.
  24. Future 2025 NL Central Champion Milwaukee Brewers with a week left in the regular season and 1 game out of the bye: “Yeah, that’s not gonna work for me, dawg.”
  25. For guys like Giannis and Lillard it is highly insignificant. For nearly half the roster making about 2 million or less, it is very significant. If you make $80,000 per year, just for hypothetical example, it would be akin to an unexpected end of year bonus of $12,000.
