  1. Of course it's McKinney. Who else?
  2. Sure we want Robert Saleh here working with the offense?
  3. Terrible pass. I don't know if I agree that he got both feet down though.
  4. Quit trying to run Jacobs around the ends. He's not an East/West runner.
  5. Doesn't matter that it wasn't a catch now.
  6. Darnell Savage is much more productive for us wearing the other team's uniform.
  7. Fortunately Love back out there again. We need to get something going. Losing the field position battle so far.
  8. Or, you know, Willis time again.
  9. I think he's fine. That commentator made a little more of it than he needed to saying "oh it's a non-contact injury."
  10. Shooting themselves in the foot early with holding penalties.
  11. The problem with this is they're no longer good enough to just coast to a top 4 seed. They didn't even win 50 games last year. Moreover, they probably have one of the worst head coaches in the NBA. They've painted themselves into a corner with Rivers because with a few impulsive moves and bad hires they've made the top job in Milwaukee a volatile one that nobody wants. I wish I could mental gymnastic my way into thinking that this team is going to wind back the clock a few years and be one of the teams to beat in the East, but the reality is that we're closer to being a play-in tournament team than the team to beat.
  12. Nobody fears the deer anymore, unfortunately.
  13. It just seems so odd to me for a young star basketball player to peak at age 22 as a free throw shooter, and then just kind of get progressively worse throughout their career. Giannis can't make free throws to save his life, and it's lowkey become a huge problem.
  14. How many "guys" are there even in the NFL, though? Is Trevor Lawrence one? Jared Goff, Dak Prescott? Either have to pay 'em or start all the way over, just how the system is set up. I think we all know Sam Darnold isn't as good as he's been, but he's going to get 50 million a year from someone if he keeps it up. I can't think of too many examples where a team had a decent QB that they were relatively successful with and just decided to start over anyway rather than pay them. Jimmy G is probably the best example. I will say I'm a little surprised that to at least suppress these QB salaries from accelerating so fast, owners don't take more of a hard-lined stance and start using the franchise tag once or twice before they extend. The only team I can think of that did was the Ravens with Lamar, and it actually worked out really well for them.
  15. I'll disclaim that by adding that Crosby did have a couple of really horrific seasons and he was fortunate to work for a patient front office who believed in his larger body of work. Missing 12 field goals in a season and having a job to return to next year is almost impossible in this era of kicking. I'd venture as far as to say you'll never see that again.
  16. I used to scratch my head when we'd pay Crosby over and over and over again when really, he was usually anywhere from average to a bit below average as far as kickers go. But I guess one thing I've learned about kickers is that you're not necessarily paying so much for production as you are for stability. At the end of the year, what's the difference between an 84% kicker and an 88% kicker? Maybe one FG. Not much. So while it was always easy, and true, to say, "a lot of this teams are getting high end kicker production on rookie contracts", I kind of saw this last year or two, it's not always easy to find that, even if you use an early pick on a guy. Either you have stability at the position, or you're in flux. All we are really looking to do is not be in flux anymore.
  17. I know it's tempting to compare Purdy to Jimmy G, but I think that's way too dismissive of a guy who was a legitimate MVP candidate last year. If Purdy's success is only system-related, why didn't they stick with Lance, who they had so much invested in? I'd be more surprised if the 49ers don't extend Purdy than if they do.
  18. No one will really remember that in the end anyway. Favre's last year was a disastrous 6-10 season with the Vikings but nobody remembers him like that.
  19. He's doing ...some things well, I guess? I don't watch him play and think "wow he's totally cooked." The chemistry on this Jets' team, like so many Aaron Rodgers teams, seems to not really be there, and the results, like so many Aaron Rodgers teams, seems to be less than the sum of it's parts.
  20. That turnover right before halftime was a backbreaker. They looked well in control before that point.
  21. His ego is way too big to go out after this disaster year. Wonder how he'll handle it when the Jets draft his replacement this year. Wonder if he'll even let them.
  22. Re: Detroit/Minny game. After a long play with a running clock and no timeouts, what's to stop the 2 closest guys from snapping the ball, spiking it, while everyone else on the field just freezes in place? Just a 5 yard penalty with no runoff.
  23. The first kick was easier on my heart, but the second one still counts.
