Anyway, even if the Mets turn into sellers I wouldn’t expect it to happen. The optics of it are just weird, the Mets wouldn’t want to take a big haircut on the original value they gave up to get him from us, it just wouldn’t be a great look, I think they’d rather trade him somewhere else.
Plus he’s still going to be in position to receive a QO so any offer would have to well exceed comp pick value.
