    I’ve seen the chatter, and first, no, I think there’s absolutely nothing to it. Witt is a cornerstone player for the Royals. They signed him to an 11 year extension and are building around him. I don’t think they are going to move away from that just because they aren’t good right now. But to play along, no, that wouldn’t get it done. Made and Pena are both gone, foregone conclusion. Then maybe Lara, Fischer, and Bishop Letson. So a 5 prospect package of all high end prospects. If we were lucky. He’s that valuable.

    I never said when it occurred at all. I wasn’t there. Why don’t you just watch the actual Uribe postgame interview? Do you think we’re just conspiring to fabricate a story for Abner? I’m literally just going off of what Abner said in the interview.

    That’s not what Uribe said. He said he was signaling to our players that he was going to have his players throw at our hitters. Just because it didn’t happen doesn’t mean he wasn’t throwing the taunt out there or playing mind games. Again, I’m not saying what Abner did was right but I’m flabbergasted that any Brewer fan thinks that the Cardinals were just sitting there quietly minding their own business this series and didn’t do a single thing that we might not have seen off camera that got Uribe a little more fired up than usual tonight.

    Do I love it? No. Would I have preferred if he just walked back to the dugout? Yes. Do I think that his explanation that the Cardinals did something at some point during the game to instigate it and he didn’t just randomly decide to fire off a “suck it” motion their way, is at the very least plausible, if not likely? Also yes.

    I was more on your side and I watched Uribe’s explanation and I get it a lot more now. He did apologize first and foremost and then he mentioned the Cardinal manager was making motions that they were going to hit our batters. So Abner was pissed and rightfully so. Did he go about responding the perfect way? No, probably not, but I get it, and he apologized. Moving on.

    Man I hope there’s something we don’t know because this really sucks. He was considered one of the higher character leaders on the team, I thought. If there’s any truth to this, I feel you have to release him. I think Trey Benson would be a nice cheao target, he’s completely buried in Arizona now that they drafted Love.
