  1. The old dog isn't quite ready to be put down yet, apparently.
  2. I don't know that there has been a less enjoyable Bucks season in my lifetime. There have been worse teams, for sure, but this one may have been the least enjoyable. They're like a sick Old Yeller at this point, just take them out back and shoot them.
  3. Jake Bauers for his career is a MINUS 1.6 WAR player. When you're going to put a player like that in the cleanup spot, not for the first time, you kind of deserve for the game to end like that on you with him up and the game on the line.
  4. There was zero reason to pinch hit Dunn there. I realize Chourio has been struggling, but it's not like Dunn is a guy you throw in there in a 1 run game in the hopes that he might just run into one. Chourio might.
  5. I don't know what the list is of teams that have given up 15+ runs in back to back games, but it can't be a very long list.
  6. I truthfully thought it would be a sexier name like TJ Tampa when they moved up to get him. Oh well. Hopefully Williams will be good.
  7. I think it's totally possible DeJean was our guy at 41 if available. I also think it's possible that we had numerous guys that we liked on that tier where if a team scooped up Dejean in front of us, we'd just pivot to a different option and we weren't going to get aggressive trading up to get him. Cooper seems like a nice value that fits a need, so Cooper+5th+6th over DeJean seems fine to me.
  8. The rebounding in the last few minutes of regulation and OT was the difference. Indiana wanted it more and outhustled us.
  9. All that just to lose anyway. That game was their shot at this series.
  10. If they lose it's because they got absolutely killed on the offensive glass.
  11. Ok, so devil's advocate, do we overstate the need for a CB? I mean we barely had Jaire last season and seemed to get by ok. Cooper is a great pick by the way.
  12. I didn't say I did know. Just like you don't know that the Eagles stole our guy and that's why we traded down.
  13. Or he wasn't their guy anyway.
  14. I'd be curious to know if they traded down before or after they knew that DeJean was going to the Eagles.
  15. Pacers going to be beyond sick if they blow this one.
  16. In any game where you don't have Giannis, you had damn well better be able to knock down a few 3's if you're going to have any chance. We are halfway through the 2nd and they do not have a single 3.
  17. Maybe they can put a good game together and steal game 4 which would still put them right in this. I sure wouldn't bet on it, though. Pacers in 5 seems more likely at the moment than Bucks in any amount of games.
  18. Tell me you've got nothing without Giannis without telling me you've got nothing without Giannis. Somewhere, Mike Budenholzer is laughing about how this season played out for the Bucks.
  19. I wouldn't bet the house on it, but there's a non-zero chance that Giannis has played in his last game as a Milwaukee Buck.
  20. I also think it's a pick that the Packers are emphasizing more of a player that they can expect to contribute immediately, rather than someone who developmentally isn't there. Morgan should play a rotational role as a rookie. It sounds old school, but a Super Bowl will be won in the trenches. Great offensive linemen are dang expensive. If you can get 4-5 years of a good one on a rookie deal, that helps.
  21. And as expected, the masses of casual Packer fans hate the pick. It never ceases to amaze me that every single year, 90% of Packer fans know exactly who we want and need just from googling "Mel Kipers Big Draft Board", and then break out the pitchforks when the team ends up going in a different direction. Only to do it again next year. Rinse, repeat.
  22. Meh. I wanted Cooper, but prioritizing the lines is always a good thing. I sincerely wonder if Arnold had still been there, would he have been the pick? My guess is no, still Morgan.
  23. I think any save with a 2 run lead can turn into a high pressure save quickly. He did a good job keeping it low pressure.
