  1. I think he gave us 7 once in September.
  2. I get the idea behind the opener, it just wasn’t particularly successful. I thought Koenig might be a consideration. Miz gained a lot of really fantastic experience in October that should serve him well going forward. He’s going to be our number 2 at worst next year.
  3. I hope we can at least build on this for the future. We’ll be back — this has been massively disappointing — pulling out Game 5 against the Cubs was a step though, and felt good. Hopefully we can take another next year.
  4. Yeah, that’s brutal for sure. I’m just not sure much would have changed no matter how much you mixed and matched the lineup.
  5. My only criticism of Murphy — quit with this “underdog” and “average Joe’s” crap. It comes off as disparaging to your own players more than anything else. Yes, you’re a scrappy underdog. We get it. You won 97 games. Act like it.
  6. I feel it bears repeating — we have scored 1 run every game. Woodruff would have been nice, but he can’t help this offense. The series would still be 3-0.
  7. Can you elaborate? I’m not saying you’re totally wrong but playoff baseball is a little different, you kind of have to play things a little differently. I felt that he actually played things fairly the same, still valued defense and speed and was reluctant to take bigger swings offensively. To me it felt like the real problem was that we didn’t swing the bats at all and there’s not much else to it.
  8. The Dodgers have scored 3.3 runs per game in this series. If you had told me that, I would have liked our chances and definitely wouldn’t have expected us to be down 3-0. This is, purely, on the ineptitude of the lineup. I don’t want to hear about the pitching choices. They did their job other than Tuesday. This lineup did not, any day. 1 run per game. That will not win.
  9. Murphy will never do it, but Yelich should be benched for Game 4. Not that it will matter.
  10. Hard to tell at the moment if this is supposed to be encouraging or a threat.
  11. It’s been time for that 3 days ago.
  12. I was hoping they could fight and pull the road one off tonight, but this offense has got nothing.
  13. Jackson certainly did far more for this offense in the postseason than almost anyone else, bad hammy and all.
  14. Collins is going. Back to the dugout after 1 pitch.
  15. Making a pitching change for Ortiz seems unnecessary.
  16. Everyone keeps talking about the pitching decisions like it’s played some big part in the NLCS. We have scored 3 runs in this entire series. It doesn’t really matter who is starting, who is opening, who is pitching when you score 1 run per game.
  17. Yeah that’s nice, Abner. We could definitely afford one more.
  18. Ballgame, and series. Great work, Brewer lineup. Thanks for playing.
  19. I can’t which lefty in our lineup has been the worst in the postseason. It’s a very ugly 3 way contest.
  20. We’re sitting at 1st and 2nd with 1 out if Yelich can only just lay off a pitch a foot outside the zone. And he couldn’t even do that.
  21. Bauers cmon man. You’ve had a great series so can’t be too mad at you but our 2 out opportunities with RISP are so rare. You’ve got Ortiz on deck and can’t end the inning with the bat on your shoulders like that.
  22. Valid question considering his performance.
  23. Sure hope he figures it out like right now, then.
  24. If I hear about Yelich playing through a back injury throughout this playoffs, I’m going to be massively disappointed in him. Put the team before your pride. I’m not saying that’s what’s happening, but if it is and he knows he can’t perform, he shouldn’t be playing.
  25. Another studly job by the two power lefties batting in the meat of our order.
