  1. Not a super easy read but I’m sure Frelick would tell you he should have wound up on 3rd there.
  2. I hope Rengifo is okay. The team will somehow survive if he has to go on the IL, I believe.
  3. Also. You just want Vaughn hitting in this environment. I mean, cmon. I know he’s better against LHP as most righties are, but when you have literally one of the most hitters friendly paradise environments in MLB history where routine fly balls are turning into HRs, you want to take advantage of that as much as you can.
  4. Ginn is good but that inning was more just a really bad job of hitting all around. No patience.
  5. Really bad swings. Can’t benefit from the hitting environment if you can’t put it in play.
  6. No need to help him out, Jackson. That pitch almost hit you.
  7. It will be a fully climate controlled dome. It won’t be anything similar to this series.
  8. 5 HRs this series from Bauers should put him in the AS game
  9. 93 MPH right down the middle. Gasser is lucky it was only hit for a single.
  10. I know stadium and wind and all that but Gasser wasn’t a major league caliber pitcher coming into tonight and won’t be after tonight.
  11. All the pitches you should have challenged last night and then you challenge a completely non consequential call in the 1st.
  12. Solid deal which I am happy with. To be fair, this makes total sense for Lara though, too. There’s no real value in the initial 7 years for the Brewers even though the AAV looks great — it’s still unlikely that Lara would exceed them — unless of course, there’s concerns of a loss of control in the new CBA which is a valid thought. The real value is those three options years. Hard to say how they’re structured but it looks like an AAV of 16M per year. While that doesn’t sound cheap, that’s probably 4th outfielder money by 2033. And if he’s not even that, the Brewers just cut their losses. No real downside at all for the Brewers and little downside for Lara.
  13. So the base of the contract doesn’t really cover any more service time than it would have been going year to year. It’s only the 3 club option years that are the potential value.
  14. Is the first year of this deal 2026, or 2027?
  15. With Lara headed to the 40 and locked down long-term with no service time incentive anymore, it would behoove Sal Frelick to start stepping it up a little bit.
  16. Imagine a day at Wrigley with the wind blowing out, except you’re at Coors Field instead of Wrigley and you have Polo Grounds distances to the corners.
  17. I am going to strongly judge Murphy if his kids are at this press conference.
  18. Don’t gotta worry about the ball carrying when you just mow em down like Patrick just did.
  19. I can tell you that they have definitely won a game 15-14 in the last 10 years. Another would be nice.
  20. Perkins coming up to bat twice in this game is not ideal.
  21. This guy sucks. And all of the sudden we can’t even put it in play on him.
  22. I don’t know what we need for runs to feel good here. More than 4 apparently.
  23. I sure would have liked to have seen Uribe when we were up 14-10.
