  1. The new is just as bad if not worse than the old.
  2. lol, not close at all. Ortiz sucks so bad.
  3. I’m not calling Drohan a bum, but I’d push back on the idea that a player being a top 30 prospect inherently means they have value. Most top 30 prospects never amount to a hill of beans at the MLB level. Some go unselected in the rule 5 every year.
  4. Murphy: (what did I forget to do today what did I forget to do today )… “ah yes! Burn Ashby’s arm in a loss.”
  5. This lineup with no Turang, Contreras, Chourio or Vaughn is hideous.
  6. To be fair, it’s not like it’ll be a huge step down from Ortiz.
  7. Well, I’ll check out one more half inning to see if we can get a little bit of offense going and if not, I think it’s time to find some other things to do with the afternoon.
  8. Unfortunately, the Priester injury had had some ripple effects.
  9. How is that ball hit to Hamilton a “single”? It’s a ball hit directly at a fielder that he had a play on and he booted it. What even is an error? Yes, it’s a tough play, it’s still an error. Not every ball hit to an infielder is going to be a routine grounder.
  10. Hamilton and Frelick just gave away two runs with bad defense.
  11. This is going to get ugly in a hurry. Today is why Murphy needed to play to win yesterday and not leave Miz hanging out to dry.
  12. Sanchez finally said “enough of this crap.”
  13. Tough to win a series batting .100 with RISP.
  14. Jake Bauers is back to looking like Jake Bauers.
  15. Even more impressive when you consider he’s had four of his strikes called balls.
  16. True, it’s been more on the hitting side. However, Sanchez was very gun shy in the 1st on three strikes that caught plenty of the plate. I wonder if they’re getting instructed to avoid challenging unless completely certain when it’s early or not a big game changing play (3-2 pitch with RISP and 2 out, for instance.) As I type this, Sanchez misses another one. To be fair that last one was really, really close.
  17. Sanchez had 3 opportunities to do something about it and passed on every one. If we are going to be as efficient as Brewer baseball usually is, we need to get better at challenging balls and strikes. One of the worst in baseball at it. Too many bad challenges and non-challenges on pitches that should be challenged.
  18. I don’t really have a problem with the decision, but the player himself doesn’t belong in the everyday lineup. Unfortunately with injuries that is where we are at.
  19. Really disappointing game. On one hand, you can’t win them all. On another hand, this game didn’t have to unfold this way and there was a lot of poor decision making all around.
  20. It’s too bad that Jett Williams isn’t making a very strong case for an early promotion. Rengifo and Matos aren’t going to help us win baseball games.
  21. Pretty disappointed in the way we pitched Contreras tonight. He challenged us and we backed down.
  22. Well, we got two back. That poorly managed 6th looms large right now.
