That was a pretty ugly sequence to tie, but we are tied nonetheless.

That’s a really good start. Yelich looked like he wanted to take 3 but that would have been pretty awful to make the first out at 3rd. I’m pretty nervous that we won’t get him in now, though.

Throw from Chourio was bad but immaterial in the end. Other than that, yeah.

Turang is having an awful day. Three K’s and then just a horrific throw on an easy double play.

Yeah, I’m not saying Ortiz will be flat out benched, but Mona has earned some days on the lineup card, probably sometimes at 3B, sometimes at SS.

Even in this mostly successful (so far) game, they’ve allowed 5 free base runners via walk and HBP. Been an awful lot in this stretch.

I know strength of schedule can be overblown, but the Cubs are facing one of the worst teams of all time currently. Glad the Giants helped us out because a 5-4 or 6-3 West Coast trip for the Cubs seems inevitable.
